Limbaugh Tells Native Americans to Stop Complaining and Enjoy Their Casinos

On his radio show today, Rush Limbaugh continued his campaign to make every minority group in the United States hate him. Today’s target was the Native Americans. On the Native Americans almost being wiped out, Limbaugh said, “They all have casinos. What’s there to complain about?” In other words, the Native Americans need to get over it.

Here is the audio courtesy of Media Matters:

In response to a charge made by Gadaffi during his rambling UN speech about Europeans carrying out a holocaust against Native Americans, Limbaugh said, “I am beginning to understand why Gadaffi’s translator collapsed. If I had to translate any of these people, I’d go nuts too. They make liars out of you, what is the holocaust, 90 million Indians, 4 million left. They all have casinos. What is there to complain about?”

I am not a Native American expert, but when an ethnic group is not only displaced from their land, but almost exterminated, I think that they have something to complain about. Their complaints are not something that can be washed away with a few casino licenses. It is also important to point out that not all Native Americans have casinos, and even if they did, it would not make what happened ok.

Maybe the Native Americans should consider themselves lucky, that Limbaugh didn’t pull his usual stunt of blaming the victim. In Rush’s mind, the Native Americans are another whiny group who don’t appreciate how good they have it. Limbaugh’s comments today are right in line with when he told the Jews to get over the Holocaust. Rush Limbaugh has the empathy and sensitivity of a brick. Conservatives listen to nonsense like Limbaugh and wonder why America has left them behind.
