It looks like Minnesotans have their own case of buyers’ remorse in reference to these two. One is a bona fide nutcase who says things that prove she is every bit as crazy and goofy as she looks. Whenever I look at those demented eyes, I’m always reminded of the theme song on “Twilight Zone.” The other is as boring as a leaky faucet, and from what I’ve read about his term as governor is far from reassuring. I have read many complaints about his stewardship from Minnesotans. And the most damning indictment of these two is that they would enact the same destructive policies the GOP is all too well known for.

First of all, Lot’s of us didn’t vote for Pawlenty, and most of us don’t get a chance to vote for Bachmann because only the people who live in the 6th district get to do that (and she hasn’t won by much).
MN voted for a Democratic President and a Democratic Governor, so give us break. We’re more embarrassed than anyone about Bachmann, but most of us don’t have “buyers remorse”, because we didn’t vote for the psycho.

Jason omitted one problem with the PPP “survey”: it included only .03% of Minnesotans (not just voters). It was not a scientific survey, just a random sampling with no statistical signficance whatsover.

And you forgot one thing. Taking statistics is measuring randomness. The more random the survey the more accurate it may be considered. PPP is a popular polling house http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/track.asp
You may wish to read up on how polls like these are taken. This is an acceptable sample size as the poll will obviously be taken again down the road with different people to compare changes in attitudes

It is not a random sampling. The sample was a representative sample consisting of 38% Democrats, 31% Republicans, and 31% Independents. Unfortunately, what you described doesn’t reflect the PPP methodology.
I love it when people who don’t understand polling methodology try to criticize polls. Would you hate this poll so much if you agreed with the findings? I don’t think so.

Most of us who post here at Politicususa have actually done research that requires scientific polling of one sort or another. Your comment seems to indicate that you may be out of your league in analyzing these poll results. PPP is a well known and reputable polling organization.

I am a Voter in Minnesota and I agree Michele Bachmann needs to go away. Writing a letter to here falls on deaf ears and she supposedly represents me. It funny because when mid term elections came around she sent out a mass email to ‘support her’ when she ignores the people she represents.

Isn’t that the Republican way, lying to get elected? I mean, JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! turned into abortion bill after abortion bill, a ridiculous “budget,” and games with bills that the GOP knew wouldn’t pass. Not one jobs bill. And their “plan” for jobs? The same as their plan for everything: Drill Baby Drill, lower taxes, blah blah blah. The GOP is a one stop shop; one solution for any problem.

Hooray for Minnesota–the numbers show just how out of touch the Repubs have become from their constituents

These numbers sound like the Minnesota I grew up in and love and they give me hope that my friends and family in Minnesota are not a minority, as I had begun to fear. Let’s hope Pawlenty and Bachmann have entered into their last terms in office and will soon go the way of the buffalo.

Frankly, Michele Bachman’s glassy stare reminds me of Old Yeller’s on Day 10, and I don’t think she ever had Days 1 through 9.
