You get the idea that Walker and the Koch-fueled Wisconsin GOP believe they are above the law and that they’re hoping that they can buy their way out of any issues arising from how they get their money. Did the state go ahead and certify the supreme court election, even with the appearance of impropriety in Waukesha County?

Yes, Jim, the GAB certified that election, though they never reviewed the logs that broke down the various issues (open ballot bags, bags with no numbers to correspond to logs, failure to maintain secure chain of custody, etc). The GAB is a non-partisan board, but it seems as if they may have felt pressured or rushed. I really can’t say why they certified that election.

Not since Watergate has the Republican Party been so blatant in their disregard for the law.

And they’re all doing it. Their arrogance is astonishing and so far they’ve been getting away with it. When, oh when is going to be stopped?

prddem — The extent to which Republicans are cheating, lying, stealing, and taking orders from corporatists IN PLAIN SIGHT all over the nation is very, very disturbing. To me it suggests that they believe they are on the home stretch to taking over the country, and it doesn’t matter what people know because we will soon be powerless.

@Fiona:I agree-it is all very disturbing.Yet,I somehow still feel as if we are going to come out on top of this thing,in the end.Dont know why I think that exactly, but it may be because of the fact that the Repubs/Teapubs have had a VERY OBVIOUS NATIONWIDE PLAN-to RUIN the middle class, the poor, women in every way,and yes, they ARE doing it very BLATANTLY,ALL OVER THIS COUNTRY! Maybe I believe that when push comes to shove,Americans will finally show them that” getting too big for your pants”is a REALLY BAD IDEA! I Pray that WILL HAPPEN.

The good thing about the krap we’re seeing on the part of republicans all over the country is that such overreaching always ends in the guillotine. It may take time, but because they can’t stop themselves (it’s like an addiction) they will end up hurting so many and making so many angry that ultimately even law enforcement will turn and join the mob when it comes for them.
God speed the day.

They are a bunch of heartless, soulless robots who have no problems with voter fraud or with trampling on the rights of everyday people. I also believe that they are sowing the seeds of their own destruction sooner or later, but in the meantime they are wreaking the kind of havoc that will take years if not decades to undo. Scott Walker is the poster child for all that is wrong with the GOP, and his political demise can’t come soon enough.
