   In Kyls press conf. he said several times ‘Defense is not the cause of the budget deficits and therefore should not be part of the solution’

   So he is saying the defense department is self-supporting? Like the (soon to be defunct) US postal service? What products or services does the DOD provide to the world market to be self sufficient?

   Call me skeptical – but I don’t believe him!

   Attached to this tweet is a link to a graph that someone shared in the comments at Politcalgates. It shows how much the US spends on Military compared to the rest of the World. And how much we spend on Foreign Aid as well. Just think if we only reduced that number down 40 or 41% instead of 43%. It’s a HUGE number… and would unlikely even be noticed by the Military.

   He doesn’t understand how many of the troops are on food stamps or wic. Most of the lower ranks E-1thru E-4 can’t feed their families even with housing. So what do they do go to base to eat and watch their kids go without? He needs to think about the programs the military doesn’t even want that would save billions.I’ve heard of a couple even on the local news so there must be more.

   So true! And don’t fOrget the half a BILLION given to a now defunct solar power company that he toured as the wave of the future! Wait, that was Obama…my fault! ;) social security is self funding…buy because of mismanagement, will be bankrupt very soon…we owe more to other countries than necessary and ya know what? There is no perfect way out of this mess…trickle down economics works, but we can’t afford to wait 20 more years to see it’s effects..we can’t just tax tue rich because then they won’t invest in the economy. Business owners creat jobs…weather we wanna admit it or not…And while I’m all about national defense…I agree that they are just using that as another hot topic word to push the voters buttons…the democrats and republicans are both full of shit in my book…it’s time for a 3rd party I’m afraid….
