President Obama has vowed that justice will be done to those who carried out the deadly attack on the US embassy in Libya. Here’s why Obama’s vow is more a guarantee than a promise.
Here is the video via Politico:
The president said, “The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack,” Obama said in a statement in the White House Rose Garden. “Make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.”
President Obama paid tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom, “Yesterday was already a painful day – 9/11,” he said, “then last night we learned news of this attack. As Americans we must never, never forget our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it… sometimes to lay down their lives for it.”
Obama voiced his support for religious freedom while denouncing senseless violence, “While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.”
The president also uttered a statement that should put anyone involved with this attack anywhere in the world on notice, “We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice will be done. Make no mistake, justice will be done.”
Due to his track record of delivering justice to terrorists, Obama’s vow that justice will be done carries some extra weight. Something tells me that the people who are responsible for this attack aren’t much longer for this earth, because this president has shrugged aside the politically symbolic Bush style secret prisons and torture for more direct method of doling out justice.
Whether you agree or disagree with his methods, when Obama states that justice will done there are only two options. Either the Libyan government takes care of this itself, or the United States will take care of it for them. As much as Mitt Romney wishes this president was Jimmy Carter, Obama is in reality more along the lines of fearless bounty hunter who has used the power of the United States government to track down terrorists and eliminate them.
When this president promises justice, he delivers.

Well if one was to consider who financed the movie in question one would come to that conclusion. The move was financed by very rich Jews. Not Jew Jews but Jews like Adelson who has violated all 623 of God’s 623commandments for riches. And guess who Adelson has spent millions on to be elected president?

I think you had done better just to name Adelson…and certain other politicofinancial interests, assuredly not all Jewish. When you start talking like *The Protocols of the Elders of Zion*, you discredit your whole argument.

In fact, the alleged Israeli producer of this monument to fuckitism, Mr. Bacile, is not an Israeli, may not be a Jew, may not be named Bacile, and may not exist. Who’s the “angel”, then? Follow the money.

The producer has been identified as a Christian Copt named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, and his “100 rich Jews” are equally fictitious.

Most American foreign policy crisis are a result of an out of control Langley. The President needs to defund the DEA, purge the CIA and stop arms sales to anyone, including our own military.
Deficit gone. Prisons emptied. Civil rights returned. Corporate control of government ended. Cheney’s heart broken.

They will blame someone and assassinate him at any rate. This is Wild West-style “justice.” This used to be a more civilized country.

Like with Reagan convienently in time for the November 6 election. Why not portray the POTUS as a coward, which will never hold up.

Jason’s ill-informed slight of President Carter is emblematic of the pervasiveness and thorough effectiveness of GOP propaganda and Reagan mythology… consider the Iran embassy hostages situation, for one.
Operation Eagle Claw was bound to be brutal, in the midst of that populous city (Israeli advice in the matter? Negotiate) and of course afterward the hostages were scattered to prevent any subsequent rescue attempt, and realize further this point: the hostages were gathered on the day of Ronald Reagan’s inauguration and put on an airplane at Tehran airport. That plane idled on the taxiway until Reagan took the oath of office at which moment two things obtained: Reagan became Commander in Chief of the armed forces of the United States, and James Carter became a private citizen divested of that power. Tell me again who were they “afraid” of?

Well, that the Reagan contingent were coeuls en culs with the Khomeini regime *before* the election is clear enough to me. I truly believe they tipped off the operation in advance.

So…condemn violence and then serve “justice” by killing more people. To me this way of thinking is illogical and President Obama’s statements seem hypocritical.
Here’s an idea: we stop being such bullies to the world and maybe people won’t want to kill us anymore.

I listened to it live and was/am impressed. Obama is neither soft on terrorist or a lier. The killing of Americans at our embasy will never be tollerated. Unlike our former president, obama knows where to send the troops. He wouldnot send them to Iran because he was mad at Libya. Too bad Mitt Romney keeps sticking his foot in his mouth.

If you keep tabs on these things you notice that just before Any Presidential election, something like this happens and makes the standing president look good. Bush had the Iraq war, then Little Bush had 9/11 and sent the troops into the wrong country, and now Obama has Libya. As Sad as this all seems, thre just may be some hankey=ankey going on behind the scenes that we are not informed about. I think Obama is and had done a wonderful job and to me there is No Doubt he will be re-elected. I do not support him 100% but he is the bette ofthe two evils.
