Mitt Romney told the press that his campaign is failing because of Obama. Romney’s failing has nothing to do with his Libya debacle or his 47% comments in his mind, rather it’s Obama’s fault for running “inaccurate ads” and “fooling people” about Romney’s beliefs.
Obama is the reason he is failing in the polls and why he can’t campaign as much as he should. It’s all Obama’s fault for “trying to fool people into thinking that I think things I don’t.”
Speaking to reporters on his private plane, “Mr. Romney blamed his relatively languid campaign schedule — five public events in the past seven days, compared with 11 fund-raisers — on the president’s decision to opt out of the federal campaign finance system four years ago, and criticized Mr. Obama for, he said, ‘trying to fool people into thinking that I think things I don’t.’”
What is Obama misrepresenting? Romney claims that Obama is misrepresenting his positions on the auto industry, abortion, and his tax plan. Apparently, Mitt Romney thinks he was for the auto bailout, as he told Michigan after he wrote the op-ed titled, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt”.
Romney claims that Obama misrepresents his position on abortion, because he has “said” that he believes in exceptions for rape, incest and the life of the mother. The problem is that he ALSO said that he supported the Personhood Amendment that specifically does not provide any exceptions. Also, as pointed out by the Obama campaign, the Republican Party platform does not make exceptions for rape, incest or the life of the mother. The only person who brought national attention to this issue is Republican Todd Akin, courtesy of his “legitimate rape” comments that highlighted the “human life amendment” (in line with the Personhood Amendment) in the Republican Party platform.
As for Romney’s tax plan, he hasn’t been specific regarding what loopholes and deductions he would get rid of, but independent analysts have determined that the only way his budget works is if he raises taxes on the middle class and poor. Is it fair to say this when he won’t tell us the details? Perhaps the more pertinent question is if it is fair for Romney to withhold the details of his tax policy while running for President.
Romney claimed repeatedly that he is being misrepresented. “I think that the president’s campaign has focused its advertising in many cases on very inaccurate portrayals of my positions. They’ve been very aggressive in their attacks both on a personal basis and on a policy basis.”
It’s hard to know how the most damaging things – Romney’s failure to release his full tax returns, his Libya presser and the secret tape of his 47% comments – could be Obama’s fault or have been misrepresented by anyone. Romney was in full control of his presser, and it was his own poor judgment he needs to blame for that. He knew he was going to run for President and yet he never addressed how he would deal with the expectation that presidential candidates release 10 years of their tax returns. As for the secret tape, a person running for President should know better than to speak so disparagingly of half of the country in public. But the real problem is that Romney’s disdain for 47% of the country is reinforced in his policies; it wasn’t a gaffe.
Romney called for Obama to stop running false ads, when in fact, Romney has been running his Welfare to Work ad — the most egregiously false ad this campaign season — relentlessly, and when asked why they continue to run it in light of it failing fact checks left and right, the Romney campaign defiantly announced that they would not be dictated to by fact-checkers. This may have been a rare moment of honesty from the Romney campaign.
Yet no one saw Obama in the wings forcing Romney to tell in his pre-taped 60 Minutes interview that his big idea for America is “freedom”. Hard to blame that on the President. Nor did Romney explain how self-deportation, taxing the poor, and defunding Planned Parenthood and the Department of Education equals freedom.
Speaking of banal and yet vague “big ideas”, Romney’s freedom rings close to the South Carolina beauty queen who said: “I personally believe the U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some, uh…people out there in our nation don’t have maps, and, uh, I believe that our education like such as South Africa and, uh, the Iraq everywhere like, such as and…I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., err, uh, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future for our…”
Romney also told 60 Minutes that his campaign was not in trouble, but today, he told the press that it was Obama’s fault he was in trouble. Even Fox News could not spin Romney out of this mess, and the most withering criticism is coming from his own party. Mitt needs to man up.
Someone needs to tell Romney that whining is not Presidential, and blaming others for his failures is also not what we expect from a leader. This is becoming increasingly embarrassing… Romney needs to stop trying to “reboot” and “respark” his campaign, and instead start looking for an escape hatch.

Romney is not only insane but a stupid man also. Just because he’s rich doesn’t mean he’s smart, just that he’s a crook and a con artist. One only had to look at how he made his millions. I don’t think he would have succeeded if he had run a true business which produces and creates. Instead he chose to bankrupt companies after loading them with debt, firing American workers and offshoring their jobs to China and India, making millions for himself and his investors. That practice does not a business man make.
I hope he gets a walloping in November. He richly deserves the criticism being thrown at him. He and his country club(Michael Savage)wife are an embarrassment to America and to humanity. They see themselves as the aristocratic entitled elite who should never be questioned but instead should be honoured and revered. They are now experiencing a rude awakening and cannot understand how it could be so.

And for further proof of his insanity, I saw an ad asking people to donate to receive one of his bumper stickers. The stickers say “Make Romney #45″ (As in the 45th president, for those of you like me who have lost count of how many presidents we’ve actually had). And the ad was asking for a $45 donation to receive said “Make Romney #45″ bumper sticker”. Well, I guess since middle income is $200,000-$250,000, then a 45 bumper sticker is not so bad, huh??

You’re not in Mormon country any more, and out here we don’t automatically accept lies because of a person’s status, nor do we respect people who don’t earn it. What’s more, you don’t tell us what to believe or how to be, and you’d better treat us as your equals, because we are. You’d better listen to us and learn the truth. People in the real world ask questions and demand answers, and you’d better be prepared to answer them truthfully and quickly, otherwise you’ll fail.”

When he told the teacher to be quiet, that he’d not asked her a question, he revealed more dramatically than ever before (“I like to fire people who give me services”) that he thinks being president is bestowing the Divine Right of Kings. He seems to forget, in his obsession with being a “businessman” (though he wasn’t) that he would work for us, we would pay him, and we have the final say about whether he is in or out of a job.
I like firing lousy, self-centered, opportunistic phonies who seek public office. I will start with Mitt. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

If Romney were POTUS, he wouldn’t be known as the Commander in Chief, he’d be known as the Whiner in Chief. This weak sucker can’t even accept responsibility for the things he does/says. Romney bought into the RW lie that a majority of Americans don’t like the president. He also relied on republicans using Citizens United to flood the airwaves with lie after lie and thought there would be no push back from the president. I think Romney’s biggest mistake was in thinking that he was running against the Fox News version of PBO and not against the real person. It’s not President Obama’s fault that Romney underestimated him. Although they both graduated from Harvard Law, Barack Obama was Editor of the Harvard Law Review and graduated magna cum laude to Romney’s summa cum laude. This alone should have told Romney that the president would be a formidable foe.

You’re so correct in your assessment. I think the colour thing also had something to do with his thinking. His 47% remark at the $50K a plate fundraiser was really thinking that PO’s supporters are AAs and Hispanic/Latinos welfare/foodstamps receipients when in fact is whites who make up the majority of welfare/foodstamps numbers. He deluded himself into thinking Americans would be falling over themselves the way his rich buddies and his investors do. Considering he didn’t make it very far in the 2008 campaign against McCain and the others, he had no idea what a real campaign really involves ie., the critique and hard work it entails, now he’s whining because it’s not as easy as he though.

On the up side, narcissist always always always destroy themselves, and the reason is, not seeing reality, they continue to literally believe their own unreality, their own unreality lies and their own undeserved and over blown false self confidence.
We will continue to have these types of candidates until the great unwashed masses learn to recognize these mentally unstable people sooner and after having the experience of Palin and now Romney ( and let us not forget Romney’s Queen Anne )hopefully that will not be much longer.

They also have failed to factor in Romney’s total allegiance to the Mormon Church and their agenda for, first, bringing America under the banner of Mormanism, and second – the Mormon world domination.
It’s the same agenda the Dominionists/NAR have, but they sold out their vision because they “think” Romney will be controllable by them. That will never happen if he wins. My two cents: I think the Republicans have been planning this since at least 2008. The long-term plan – (1) do everything humanly possible to obstruct any semblance of success for Obama (believe me, what was good for the American PEOPLE was not part of the equation); (2)parade bigot after bigot to trot out any kind of racist homily they could think of (proof optional, at best) (hence, the Muslim crap, the Communist/Socialist crap, the birther crap that will not die no matter how infantile s t u p i d they sound) to appeal to the closet racist that swells the heart of a large chunk of the populace; (3) keep making constant referrals to Obama as ‘other’ or ‘un-American’ or ‘not us.’
Look around you – over 40% of your neighbors are willing to vote for a man who has pledged to do untold harm to your country, not to mention YOU and the stupid neighbors. Why? Who could possibly vote for a man who wants to dismantle Medicare? Who could vote for a man who actively wants to start another war in the middle east? Who could vote for a man who lies for breakfast? Who cavalierly writes off 47% of the country as unreachable due to an entitled mentality? Who wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt? Who spent his adult life destroying companies, jobs, and the lives of tens of thousands Americans and got stinking rich doing it? Who points a finger at the 47% yet runs every tax scheme imaginable to get his OWN tax rate down to the 10% category for his millions? Who has pledged to further enrich his cronies at the expense of the people who can least afford it?
Who does this??????????? A sociopath. A giant leech stuck to the ass of society draining its lifeblood.
Now, tell me, WHO VOTES FOR SOMEONE LIKE THIS? Unless they’re a 1%er or a total nutjob – a true-red, incredibly partisan-to-the-point-of-psychopathy racist POS, that’s who.

I’m suprised that Mitty Flopney forgot to mention the
“Huge Government Consipracy” that is working against
Him. No mention of the “Evil Liberal Media”.
No mention of all those “Biased Pollsters” either.
Damn. Mitty can’t even remember his Own Lines.
Actually, It’s MY Fault. All Mine.
I Forgot to Drink the Kool-Aid.

Maybe we should all take a second or two to say “Aaaaaaaaaaaah” in sympathy for the Republican Party of 2012 that this is the best they can find to be their candidate for POTUS! Mr Moneybags Retard Romney is an embarassment of the first order and hopefully it will not have the opportunity to sit in that chair in the Oval Office!
Hey people . . . GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!!!! Let’s show this retard that money can’t buy you the Presidency!!!!!

It is absolutely President Obama’s fault that Romney is doing so poorly. If Obama wasn’t President, Romney wouldn’t be running against him. Therefore, it is all Obama’s fault.

“…rather it’s Obama’s fault for running ‘inaccurate ads’ and ‘fooling people’ about Romney’s beliefs.”

I’m not surprised by this. He’s just like every Republican in the last 4 years–if it’s bad, it’s because Barack Obama made it that way.

Did Obama edit out his opponent’s speeches to have an entirely different meaning? Nope that was Romney. Who was it that first used the term failed policies eight days into the Obama administration? That was Romney. Did Obama use grossly inaccurate figures about the number of unemployed and bankruptcies? Nope that was Romney. Who was it that blamed Obama for a factory that closed before he took office? It was Paul Ryan. Who was it that blamed Obama for the failure of the budget Super Committee while neglecting to mention he was on that committee and recommended that it be voted against essentially meaning it would have no Republican support? That was Paul Ryan. Who was it that chose Lyin’ Ryan to be his running mate? It was Romney. My drill sergeant always used to say that when you point fingers, four of them are pointing back to you. That’s why drill sergeants point with all their fingers towards their quarry.

MRmoney seems to be rather disgusted by the fact that he even has to go through this whole election process and actually have to ask commoners for their votes. Maybe he’s hoping the Supreme Court will just appoint him to office like they did for Bush in 2000.
