The Romney camp let it fly that Mitt will ask Obama to ‘man up’ tonight in the debate. Yes, the man who won’t release his tax returns because he’s afraid of what Obama would say about them is barking at the moon, playing big man on campus in yet another transparent attempt to paint himself as Reagan and Obama as Carter.
Richard Williamson, a Romney aide, told Fox News, “I think Governor Romney, quite properly, will be asking questions, probing, and trying to ask the president to man up, accept his responsibility and explain to the American people the failure that resulted in four American deaths.” He added, “He can run but he’s not going to be able to hide. He’s going to have to man up and tell the American people what he knew, when he knew it and what he’s doing.”
Yes, that would be the same Libya Romney was against before he was for, and that was before he fled down a hallway to avoid reporters’ questions about his Libya position. That is also the same Libya House Republicans pretended they wouldn’t fund, and the same defunded security that falls in the laps of Republicans. It is also the same Libya that Romney exploited over and over again for political gain, from blaming Obama before the facts were even known to smirking his way through a presser the next morning – so sad was he over American deaths that he couldn’t stop smiling at his win. And these are the same deaths that Romney was just accused of politicizing by the mother of slain Navy SEAl, Glen Doherty.
Remember when Mitt Romney told his 50k a plate friends that he would look to take advantage of a hostage type situation so that he could paint himself as Reagan and Obama as Carter?
And yet, in that election, in the Jimmy Carter election, the fact that we have hostages in Iran, I mean, that was all we talked about… It’s really a, but… by the way, if something of that nature presents itself, I will work to find a way to take advantage of the opportunity.
Romney is taking advantage of Libya just like he said he would. This from the guy who couldn’t get through the opening of the summer Olympics without insulting our biggest allies, called Russia our number one geopolitical foe, claims he’s going to get tough on China even as he makes money off of shipping jobs overseas to China, and let Netanyahu talk through him like a limp puppet on his visit to Israel. This guy is going to tell Obama to “man up.”
We all know who told Netanyahu how it was going to be, and it wasn’t Mitt Romney.
The Republicans’ “investigation” into the Libya attacks led to them outing the CIA base on national television, so you might think that they wouldn’t be throwing stones right now, but nothing gets in the way of Republicans crashing and burning their way through national security like blindfolded bulls in a China shop.
I suppose we could call Romney’s constant chasing of Obama’s foreign policies “macho bravado”, but this is a man who has been described over and over again as not only following Obama’s lead on foreign policy, but letting others dictate his policies to him. Mitt Romney is hardly his own man as a politician – he’s whatever his Bush neo-con foreign policy advisers and Sheldon Adelson want him to be at this moment. Romney wants to win so badly that he will do or say anything, no matter how ridiculous (as he has proven consistently). Mitt’s father’s own aide called Romney out on his weakness yesterday. It follows, then, that Romney has to lash out at Obama in order to soothe his wounded ego. Thank goodness there wasn’t anyone with offensively long hair around.
Yesterday team Romney announced that Obama is not “macho” enough to win Latino voters, thereby insulting and stereotyping Latinos while at the same time ignoring polls and reality.
(A)n unnamed Romney “aide” attributed Obama’s lost ground with Latinos to the fact that he didn’t demonstrate enough “macho bravado” to secure their support.
Obama is winning with Latino voters, and Latin countries have many female Presidents, so apparently machismo is not all Romney cracks it up to be. As the Obmaa campaign pointed out, Obama’s slight drop in support among Latino voters (72% to 67%) accompanied a general drop in support stemming from his poor debate performance.
Mitt Romney is a huge coward who won’t answer questions from children, won’t release his tax returns, won’t tell us what his secret tax plan is or if he really has one, and is too scared to go on The View, but he’s going to tell the guy who ordered the hit on bin Laden to ‘man up’.
Paper tiger Mitt Romney thinks America will be fooled by his tough guy act, when he can’t even stand up to Rush Limbaugh. This is what passes for macho in the Republican Party?

Politicians wish we all had short-term memories. How soon Romney and the rest of the GOP forgot that no one in the Bush Administration was asked by members of their party to take responsibility for 9/11. Bush went on for 7 more years saying that he had “kept America safe.” Excuse me but the deaths of 3,000+ Americans on our own soil and the destruction of tall and expensive real estate and infrastructure was on the hands of George W. Bush.
Bush in jumpsuit prematurely declared the “war won” on the flight deck of a naval ship, but has never taken responsibility for the destruction of 9/11.
Mr. Obama might want that “buck to stop in the Oval Office” but he is smart enough to investigate and give details after the final assessment. Romney precipitated the release of erroneous data with his own RUSH TO JUDGMENT. Romney has politicized this unfortunate incident. Shame on him. Shame on the rest of those jumping on that ludicrous political bandwagon.
Unfortunately, Romney and his party will do anything to put him in the White House; to keep the Democrats out of power; use Dirty Tricks even illegal maneuvers to get to their goal. They have no shame, many are criminals and all seem to want more prisons for criminals “unlike them.”

Before the whinging about the President’s college transcripts begins:
1. He slid into this world from an American uterus. That makes him American.
2. When you graduate from an academic institution, that institution’s Board of Regents, the Dean of the College and the head of the Department you studied under sign a piece of paper called a ‘diploma.’ That ‘diploma’ serves the same purpose as a driver’s license. It says you passed all the tests and road work and are a legal driver. No one cares how long it took you, or how good or bad you were. I had to take my road test 4 times. I have never been in an accident or had a speeding ticket in 40 years of driving.
So please stop posting ignorant drivel. It makes all Americans look like ignoramuses. It’s embarrassing.

We’ll take President Obama to task on this right after we convict and sentence W, Cheney, Rumsfeld for letting 9/11/01 happen in the face of all of the warnings they got. We will, of course, expect Colin Powell to turn States Evidence for a partial pardon.

Of course he will be a hypocritical liar and demand from others what he himself would not or will never do.
This is the essence of Romney. He wants others to make sure do the hard work, whilst he can skirt the issue.
