At an event in Defiance, Ohio Thursday evening, Mitt Romney got his Halloween on early by playing the Grim Reaper of jobs when he told a complete falsehood about Chrysler moving Jeep to China and taking Americans job with them. Chrysler said that a “careful and unbiased” understanding “would have saved unnecessary fantasies and extravagant comments.” That’s our Mitt.
Romney took “a leap that would be difficult even for professional circus acrobats” Thursday when he said, “I saw a story today, that one of the great manufacturers in this state, Jeep, now owned by the Italians, is thinking of moving all production to China. I will fight for every good job in America, I’m going to fight to make sure trade is fair, and if it’s fair, America will win.”
Did you catch that? He saw a “story” alright, and just like Fox, he figured he’d “some people” reality by not bothering with it at all.
The truth is that Chrysler is not moving its Jeep production from America to China. As Chrysler said today, “Jeep has no intention of shifting production of its Jeep models out of North America to China.”
President Obama has challenged unfair Chinese tariffs on U.S. auto exports to China, including Jeeps. We all know that Romney would have let the American auto industry and a million jobs go under and he’s all for shipping jobs overseas where men like him can get away with paying workers 88 cents a day and no worries about healthcare or being sued for dangerous working conditions.
Here are the facts from the Chrysler Blog Post. They point out, “A careful and unbiased reading of the Bloomberg take would have saved unnecessary fantasies and extravagant comments.” Ouch.
Let’s set the record straight: Jeep has no intention of shifting production of its Jeep models out of North America to China. It’s simply reviewing the opportunities to return Jeep output to China for the world’s largest auto market. U.S. Jeep assembly lines will continue to stay in operation….
There are times when the reading of a newswire report generates storms originated by a biased or predisposed approach. On Oct. 22, 2012, at 11:10 a.m. ET, the Bloomberg News report “Fiat Says Jeep® Output May Return to China as Demand Rises’ stated ‘Chrysler currently builds all Jeep SUV models at plants in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Manley (President and CEO of the Jeep brand) referred to adding Jeep production sites rather than shifting output from North America to China.”
Despite clear and accurate reporting, the take has given birth to a number of stories making readers believe that Chrysler plans to shift all Jeep production to China from North America, and therefore idle assembly lines and U.S. workforce. It is a leap that would be difficult even for professional circus acrobats.
Business Week backs up Chrysler, “Chrysler currently builds all Jeep SUV models at plants in Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. Manley referred to adding Jeep production sites rather than shifting output from North America to China.”
In case Mitt is still confused, “Chrysler Group announced that it will invest $500 million at the Toledo Assembly Complex (Ohio) for the production of the next generation Jeep® SUV in 2013. As a result, the Company will add a second shift of production or about 1,100 jobs in the third quarter of 2013.”
It looks like Romney was hoping to deflect and distract from Bainport on the evening when Sensata workers were threatening a walkout after being harassed and threatened by managers at the Bain owned plant. The Bain owned Sensata is shipping American jobs overseas to China after forcing the American workers to train their Chinese replacements in spite of being a profitable plant.
“Let Detroit Go Bankrupt” Mitt Romney must feel he has to go Grim Reaper of Death and Fear when faced with the success of Obama’s auto rescue, “Basking in such sentiments echoing across assembly lines of shiny Wranglers, Obama took a victory bow at the Jeep plant, where he was hailed by many of the 1,763 workers as a job-savior for the 2009 federal bailout that kept Chrysler and General Motors alive.”

Team Romney has been employing standard Rove-Atwater tactics: it matters little whether his campaign rhetoric has any basis in reality. All that matters is that he can sell it to the voting populace.
The assumption is that If you keep repeating the lie over and over, eventually some people will conclude that it must be true, simply because they continually heard it being uttered.
Furthermore, Mitt routinely makes crap up because he cannot be bothered with doing his homework so that his comments are drawn from verifiable facts and empirical data so that they reflect reality.
Lately, he has been channeling his inner Bachmann — taking distorted or misinterpreted news reports, unsubstantiated, isolated anecdotal accounts, and wild rumors spawned from the right wing blogosphere, and using them as stump speech talking points … or worse … as the basis for formulating public policy positions.

If one’s belief is not part of the average belief, then what one tell the average is viewed as not be a lie….. Even if the facts say otherwise. That’s Mitt. We are the non-believeres with respect to his faith. The lies he tells us are not lies to him. Whether we want to believe in his moral responsibility of basic truth does not matter. His morality is not based on the average view of truth. There in lies a view of the presidency if Mitt would be if elected. The dishonesty would not stop. The selling of our nation would not stop. The taking of our basic rights to appease his inner circle would not stop. Yes, just because of his beliefs. May sound off the wall, but, for greater than 65 years he has been indoctrinated to believe that we are the infidels, the non believers. Truly a belief that lying to us is not a sin….Take heart

I feel that some of the American people know that Romney is a lie, he did it at each debate, I think most of the people who are voting for Romney are doing it because! They feel Obama should’ve never been in the White House from the start and they just want him out! On another hand Obama has did a good job on what he could get done his first term! Some people have run Obama down that’s unfair! He came into office with alot facing him, yet he took it on I am bless to have him for my president!! Romney is only looking out for the riches!! Any one time you tell a lie about Jeep shipping jobs to China and get caught in your lie!! You do not deserve to be president of the US. Then want to tell women what to do to their bodies!!! He will do and say anything to win and that is to lie!! To those of you believing his lies god bless yall soul because, if he gets in office America is coming to nothing mark my words!!

Of all the lies Willard Romney has spouted, this has to be by far the most heartless and cynical. He had to know how devastating this kind of news would be for people who depend on this industry for their livelihoods. Because the end justifies the means in the view of his own shriveled, empathy-challenged mind, he had no problem with saying it. I am glad Chrysler was quick to refute his outrageous falsehoods, and I sincerely hope it helped to cost him the votes of both workers and members of management in that company.

He had already saved several from the Benghazi US compound, against the orders of the White House who told him to “stand down” and do nothing. This American hero earlier had disobeyed the ridiculous order from the White House and went to save his fellow Americans from harms way anyway and about 30 were saved but Ambassador Stevens and a few others were still trapped. Now he had the attackers in his laser sights and asked for air support which could have possibly saved Ambassador Chris Stevens and more. But again the White House told him “NO”. Moments later US Navy Seal Woods lost his life there from mortar fire.

The truth comes out! Obama and his media will not be able to hide behind the lies for long. Educate yourself and strive to find the truth instead of believing the lies. Romney has NOT lied. He may have omitted and changed his mind but he has not lied. Obama lies and lies outright and he lies so much it does not faze him. Vote for Obama or America, you can’t have both.
