Cracker Barrel Caves to Duck Dynasty Conservative Racism and Bigotry

Cracker Barrel is going the route of Chick-fil-a, specializing in serving bigots and/or racists – aka, the “conservative” crowd.

Cracker Barrel took back their distancing from Phil Robertson already. The company announced 2 days ago that they would pull Duck Dynasty items off of their shelves after Phil Robertson shared his conservative bigotry and racism with the world.

But Cracker Barrel posted to their Facebook Page that they were reversing their decision, because they support everyone’s right to express their beliefs:

Dear Cracker Barrel Customer:

When we made the decision to remove and evaluate certain Duck Dynasty items, we offended many of our loyal customers. Our intent was to avoid offending, but that’s just what we’ve done.

You told us we made a mistake. And, you weren’t shy about it. You wrote, you called and you took to social media to express your thoughts and feelings. You flat out told us we were wrong.

We listened.

Today, we are putting all our Duck Dynasty products back in our stores.

And, we apologize for offending you.

We respect all individuals right to express their beliefs. We certainly did not mean to have anyone think different.

We sincerely hope you will continue to be part of our Cracker Barrel family.

Countdown until Cracker Barrel sells Nazi supporters’ products in their Country Store, if not the KKK (a good fit for their brand now)…

So what we have is an “exceptional” America wherein corporations now pretend that they can’t tell the difference between supporting racism and bigotry and supporting the free expression of beliefs. In other words, Cracker Barrel had a good look at its customer base and realized they are serving the racists and bigots so they’d best side with them because in the free market, they can by boycotted for doing the right thing.

Cracker Barrel is now consorting with the worst of the conservative base, thereby ensuring that they are forever stamped with the humiliation of one of several stores that took a pro-hate stance during the heated time period of endless conservative freaking out over a black president.

Make no mistake, this time period will be recorded in history as yet another black mark on the face of conservatism, as Republicans — with nary an ounce of decency — try to sell that slavery wasn’t a bad thing for African Americans, while they accuse the first black president of inflicting slavery on the nation.

Just because you can say something doesn’t mean you should. This is a lesson most of us learn in preschool, but apparently Republicans are the children left behind.
