“Lawless Obama” Propaganda Triggers an Internal Meltdown On Fox News

Fox News Sunday panel

Smart pundits like the conservative National Journal’s Ron Fournier are trying to stop Republicans from making fools of themselves to no avail.

Today during a “Fox News” Sunday panel, Heritage Foundation CEO Michael Needham pushed the spurious and baseless accusation that President Obama is “lawless” and thus must be constrained (i.e., sued/impeached), but then claimed Democrats are pushing the impeachment rhetoric. LOL forever.

Ron Fournier interrupted Needham in order to question the Heritage Foundation CEO’s basic premise, which is of course, false. Fournier demanded, “A lawless president? Is that really a phrase you want to use? He’s a lawless president?”

Needham refused to explain or justify the premise, per the media training that has Republicans looking like broken puppets when questioned.

Then Fox News’ own contributor Juan Williams stuck the dagger in, explaining “Well, I think you listen to Michael and you understand why there are lots of Republicans who think this man is a demon.”

Republicans lied to the base for years from their PR network at Fox News about this President, followed the orders of Heritage et al to disrupt the legislative process under Obama and instead invoke any kind of scandal they could, and now that they believe this nonsense, Heritage uses the nonsense propaganda pushed on the nonsense network to justify the nonsense lawsuit/impeachment, all the while blaming Democrats for it.

Nifty trick, only even Fox “News” contributors and conservative leaning pundits aren’t buying.

It seemed to escape everyone that Heritage CEO Needham pushed this narrative on the very network where they started the Obama impeachment talk shortly after the President took residence in the White House and now are pretending that Democrats made it up. The lower third reading Fox disingenuously, “House authorizes lawsuit, Is impeachment talk real?”

Fournier is the fellow who acknowledges the reality of Republican obstruction, but then neatly pivots and stays razor focused on Obama – and his “can he lead” question. As if unless President Obama finds some magical way to get Republicans to say no to the Heritage Foundation, he can’t lead.

Fournier is Republican adjacent, if not full on — So much so that in October 2006, the McCain campaign sought him out. This is not uncommon, but his political leanings should be disclosed to readers.

In any event, today Ron Fournier tried to lead Republicans away from the crazy and found that he, too, can’t “lead”. Juan Williams tried to explain to the Heritage CEO that it’s talk like his that has led to this craziness and minority voters are sick of it and they are going to get out the vote in revenge. But trust. Heritage’s mouthpiece just kept repeating his trusty talking points that went in circles.

President Obama is not lawless, and two people tried to explain that to the Heritage CEO on Fox “News” today. This in and of itself is worth noting, because the crazy is causing an internal meltdown.

Without the premise that President Obama is lawless, the entire argument against suing him and impeaching him is exposed as the partisan Hail Mary of a desperate party.
