Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) made it clear that she is not running for president by disavowing the activities of the Ready For Warren PAC, and encouraging them to direct their efforts towards helping Democrats keep the Senate.

In a letter to the FEC, Warren’s attorney Marc E. Elias wrote:

Sen. Warren could not have made her intentions any clearer. She is not running for president in 2016. She won’t be running for president in 2016. She has no intention of running for president. The progressive activists who have been trying to draft her would be better served to put their energy elsewhere. Warren 2016 or Clinton/Warren 2016 likely isn’t going to happen either. Hillary Clinton probably isn’t going to pick a liberal like Elizabeth Warren to be on her ticket.

Elizabeth Warren has done nothing to put together a campaign organization. Her campaigning and fundraising efforts have all been directed towards helping Democrats keep the Senate. Many on the left want Hillary Clinton to face a serious primary challenge, but that challenger won’t be Sen. Warren.

Those on the left who want a non-Clinton candidate may end up getting an Independent run from Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). The Vermont Independent has stated in the past that he will run if nobody steps up from the left. With Warren making it clear that the challenger from the left won’t be her, it may be Sen. Sanders or nothing for those who aren’t supporting Clinton.

Sen. Warren has a great career ahead of her, but that career won’t include a run for the White House in 2016.
