Friday Fox Follies – Impeaches and Cream

obama fox news northwestern

It’s only taken 6 years of blindly throwing mud at the wall to see what sticks, but Fox “News” has finally invented Articles of Impeachment against President Obama — or, at the very least, figured out a way to throw the word around recklessly. Taking a cue as Fox Legal Analyst Erroneously Attacks The Legitimacy Of Obama’s Immigration Action, it’s all Obama’s fault, natch, as Fox Host Claims Obama Is “Double-Daring” Republicans To Impeach Him With Immigration Action.

Meanwhile Tantaros and Hannity Salivate For Impeaching Obama as Fox’s Charles Payne Promotes Impeaching Obama Over Immigration Order, refusing to mind his own Fox Business Channel. There’s not been this much talk of impeachment since DNA-on-a-dress and Watergate combined. President Obama has — so far — declined to resign. Since that didn’t work O’Reilly Tries To Get Krauthammer To Say Obama’s A ‘Bad Person’ Because Of His Immigration Decision while Sen. Ted Cruz Promotes His Latest Government Shutdown Plan – And Megyn Kelly Helps!, even though Megyn Kelly Flip Flops On Obama’s Power To Issue Immigration Order.

According to butter-wouldn’t-melt-in-her-mouth Dana Perino: Obama ‘Has the Prosecutorial Discretion’ to Act on Immigration , which provides a parallel to Read Ronald Reagan’s executive order on immigration the GOP won’t talk about. So far only one Fox “News” Chicolini has found a way to wrap all the news of the day into one tight little package. In order to attack, Fox’s Bolling Goes Full ‘Conspiracy Theorist’ on Obama, Ferguson and ‘Amnesty’. And, when all else fails, try scare-mongering: Fox News: ISIS Will Get ‘Tons Of Social Welfare Benefits’ And A ‘Warm Embrace’ In U.S.

OUTNUMBERED: The best reaction to Fox “News” immigration hysteria came on Outnumbered, the noon hour ShoutFest that copied The Five, which copied The View. Lately the station has been booking outliers as the #OneLuckyGuy, a silly hashtag mystery that no one cares about, ‘cepting the greatest of Foxy sycophants. Hoping he’d say something that would go viral some soon-to-be-unemployed producer booked Tommy Chong on the show. Most of what Chong said went viral, but not in the way that was expected, starting with immigration:

Fox Unexpectedly Hears from Beneficiary of Immigration Action Tommy Chong: “Reagan Issued An Amnesty Program, And I Was One Of The Recipients” Outnumbered Propaganda Fail: Tommy Chong Rebuts Anti-Pot Propaganda! Tommy Chong to Fox Hosts: Your Gruber Coverage Is ‘Like Benghazi All Over Again’

However, #OneLuckyGuy this week delivered exactly what was expected of him:

On Outnumbered: Kirk Cameron Pimps His Christmas Movie And Himself On Outnumbered: Kirk Cameron Pimps Purity, The Duggars, And Himself! Outnumbered Helps Kirk Cameron Lecture Women On Christmas Etiquette And Accepting Sexism Thank The Lord We Have Kirk Cameron To Make Us Keep Christ In Christmas

Speaking of the Phony War on Christmas: Headlines like OMG, Fox & Friends Commits ‘Holiday’ Sin!? and Fox Turns To Chuck Norris, Ronald Reagan To Invent Latest Attack On Christmas are the beginning trickles of what will become a tsunami by Jesus birthday.

Chutzpah has been defined as a murderer throwing themselves on the mercy of the court because they’re an orphan — after killing both parents. However, that definition will have to be retired Now Fox & Friends Is Upset That Obama Is Quoting Scripture. Those Foxy Friends on the Curvy Couch get their magic underwear in a twist if you say “Gesundheit” instead of “God Bless You,” so what Media Matters alleges seems out of character:

Obama quoted lines from the Bible in a November 20 address, explaining the nation’s responsibility to reform unfair immigration enforcement policies. He declared, “Scripture tells us that we shall not oppress a stranger, for we know the heart of a stranger — we were strangers once, too. My fellow Americans, we are and always will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too.” His use of scripture did not sit well with the hosts of Fox & Friends the next day. Co-host Tucker Carlson called it “repugnant” and argued, “For this guy specifically, the president who spent his career defending late-term abortion, among other things, lecturing us on Christian faith? That’s too much. That is too much.” Elisabeth Hasselbeck attempted to rebut the scripture Obama used with scripture of her own, quoting verses from Proverbs and saying she is “going to get into a scripture-showdown.” According to Hasselbeck, Obama used the Bible to guilt people into supporting his executive action, and that’s “not what the scholars behind the Bible would interpret as proper use, perhaps.” […] On November 19, the hosts promoted a “fiery” online op-ed penned by Chuck Norris, echoing his outrage that Obama had not publicly opposed a local school district’s decision to remove references to religious holidays on the schools’ calendars. The hosts then aired video of former President Ronald Reagan talking about Christmas and his Christian faith, saying, “Chuck Norris’ point was, remember the time when American presidents weren’t afraid to talk about traditional values, as Ronald Reagan did back in 1981.” Hasselbeck remarked that Reagan’s religious rhetoric gave her goosebumps.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t, damn you to Hell!!!

As this reporter was putting Friday Fox Follies to bed last week, I heard a brand new eponym. That’s when I realized we had been Grubered by the Fox “News” Channel: With Jonathan Gruber Comments, Fox Searches For Its Next Benghazi just like Tommy Chong said. Naturally that leads to Fox’s Eric Bolling: ‘Man Up, Stewart’ and Admit You Were ‘Grubered’ because Fox News Obsession With Jonathan Gruber Is Really About ObamaCare At The Supreme Court, of course. Fox’s Cavuto Brings on a Relationship Expert to Weigh In on Gruber for trenchant and responsible analysis.

Sometimes the old, discredited Mama Grizzly talking points are dragged out for nostalgia’s sake: Tucker Carlson Flogs The Old Death Panels Trope To Discourage ACA Enrollment. But, who was Gruber really describing as stupid? Beckel: We’re Refighting Obamacare Because ‘Stupid Idiots’ Didn’t Follow Before? Yet, there have been many times When Fox Hosts Had No Problem Calling Voters Stupid, generally when they didn’t like how the vote went.

So many Fox “News” segments, this week, seemed to be hyping potential violence out of Ferguson, MO, once the Grand Jury comes down with a verdict. Megyn Kelly Fear Mongers About Ferguson Grand Jury Decision: ‘All Hell Could Break Loose!’ while Presidential dreamer Dr. Ben Carson Fear Mongers Ferguson: More People Are Going To Get Killed and Hannity Blames Obama For Any Riots In Ferguson. I sure hope any lack of riot doesn’t hurt the ratings.

We’ll do it live!!! Trust me, there is nothing more cringe-worthy than when O’Reilly And Goldberg Tsk Tsk Over African Americans In Ferguson, because neither of those privileged old farts have a clue about race relations in this country. Truth be told, every Friday Fox Follies could be filled with just Bill O’Reilly items. However, these days Loofah Lad comes off as the sanest liar at the Fox “New” Channel. It’s not that he’s stopped spinning shamelessly, it’s just that the station has taken such a sharp turn to the stupid over the last few years:

Bill O’Reilly Offended By Eminem’s Potty Mouth At Vets Concert?!
Bill O’Reilly Suggests Making Nancy Pelosi The Redskins’ New Logo
‘General’ Bill O’Reilly Issues His Marching Orders For Defeating ISIS!
Bill O’Reilly: Jesus Wasn’t Married Because I Say So!
