Fox News Host Says America “Saved The Planet” By Using Snipers And Invading Other Countries

During Sunday morning’s broadcast of Fox & Friends, co-host Charles Payne outlandishly claimed that the United States “saved the planet” and moved a billion people into the middle class by engaging in war across the globe. Payne made his statements during a discussion with his fellow hosts over the controversial film American Sniper and comments made by filmmaker Michael Moore and former Vermont Governor Howard Dean. Payne, along with Tucker Carlson and Anna Kooiman, took umbrage with vocal criticism of the film that has come from the left while also taking the opportunity to bathe themselves in the red, white and blue.

Kooiman was the first to display her righteous indignation as she attacked Dean for remarks he made during his appearance Friday on Real Time with Bill Maher. The former head of the Democratic National Committee said that much of the success of American Sniper is due to the Tea Party, “”I bet you if you look at a cross-section of the Tea Party and people who go see this movie, there’s a lot of intersection.” Kooiman retorted back, “Damn right, we’re angry!” She then brought up Moore’s comments about snipers being cowards, pointing out he brought Jesus into the conversation while also stating sniper Chris Kyle was in Iraq to defend our Marines.

Carlson then chimed in, criticizing Moore for referencing Christian values when it comes to war and killing people. The conservative pundit wanted to know why Moore never brings up Jesus when it comes to abortion or gay marriage. (It could be that Jesus never actually commented on either of those two subjects.) He then whined about the “Christian left” and how “boy are they annoying.”

This led to Payne jumping in with an ignorant spiel to end all ignorant spiels. The Fox business analyst explained how America invading other countries and using snipers to protect American lives ended up improving the economic situations of a billion people.

“When Michael Moore and these guys make these kinds of comments, it takes it completely out of context. It’s a pretty simple thing, you watch the movie, he saved American lives. And he went through a tough struggle to do it, but it was a job that had to be done. Look at the death toll that we had protecting people in a different country because that’s what America does. We’ve been the world’s policeman, and guess what’s happened over the time we’ve become the world’s policeman. A billion people in other countries have moved into the middle class.

We had India on TV earlier. If it wasn’t for Americans dying around the world, the rest of the world would be in abject poverty. We have saved the planet, and if we go away as America’s (sic) policeman, it’s going to be hell to pay for everyone.”

Rather than scratch their heads and wonder just what the hell Payne was talking about, his co-hosts heartily agreed with him. Apparently, per Fox News, the United Stated invading Iraq and Chris Kyle picking off Iraqis in the street has helped India’s economy and brought their people out of poverty.
