Marco Rubio Hints That He May Not Support The GOP Nominee If Trump Wins

Caught on tape by MSNBC, a defeated looking Senator Marco Rubio (R-FLA) shook his head in disbelief when asked if he would support Donald Trump if he were the nominee.

Watch here via MSNBC:

“I don’t know, I mean… I already talked about the fact that I think Hillary Clinton will be terrible for this country but the fact that you’re even asking me that question. I still at this moment intend to support the Republican nominee but,” the Republican presidential candidate said looking demoralized and in shock, “it’s getting harder every day.”

That’s a big hint that Marco Rubio might not be able to bring himself to support Donald Trump if Trump is his party’s nominee for President, just a day after aides urged supporters to back Gov. John Kasich in Ohio to slow down Trump’s momentum. This is the biggest indication yet that Marco Rubio has substance. It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to better showcase this side of himself on the trail.

What you are seeing here, folks, is a Republican who can’t believe what his party has come to, can’t believe he is losing to a hate-monger who is deliberately inciting violence around this country, and has enough concern about this state of affairs to say it’s getting harder every day.

While it would be ideal for the Republican party to have courage and principles that would automatically prohibit supporting a person like Donald Trump, they wouldn’t have Donald Trump if they had stuck to their conservative principles. Instead they’ve been stoking racism and hatred for decades as a way to sell policies that are bad for the people.

Republicans continue to cater to this extremism even right now in the very Senate in which Marco Rubio allegedly works. The Senate that is refusing to even give a hearing to the Supreme Court nominee of this President, in yet one more unprecedented way of obstructing and delegitimizing President Obama.

So the Republicans are a party of cowards with no principles other than saving their own hides, greed, and pointing fingers at randoms for their base to focus on while the party steals from the base to feed the rich.

This is how they got Donald Trump. And Ted Cruz. And even to an extent, Marco Rubio. This Marco Rubio who looks stunned that he is losing to a Hitler-esque figure.

Any Republican Senator who thinks they might not be able to support Donald Trump should as themselves how they feel about fueling the hatred we see at Trump rallies by treating the first black President as if he is not legitimate enough to do the job of president regarding appointing a Supreme Court nominee.
