Hillary Clinton’s Southern Surge Crests with Huge Win North Carolina

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s southern surge crested tonight with a huge win in the North Carolina Democratic primary tonight.

The Democratic front-runner is taking nothing for granted and campaigned in North Carolina at Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School today even though she’s been leading in polling and had a 99% chance of winning according to 538.

Clinton told her supporters in North Carolina to be sure to vote. The Democrat told reporters, “I feel good. I think, though, that you’ve got to just keep working all day on Election Day and remind people how important it is to vote and don’t let anybody get complacent.”

The effort and time put into North Carolina paid off tonight for a campaign that learned after Michigan to not take anything for granted and remind their supporters that they need to turn out even when the polls say she’s got it.
