While trying to attack Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump revealed that he appears to have no idea what the President Of The United States does.

At a rally in Sacramento, CA, Trump said, “She has no natural talents to be president. This is not a president. They talk about me. Actually, a lot of people think that I look presidential. But do you really believe that Hillary is presidential? This is not presidential material….Hillary is not a talented person. In fact, she is a person with no actual talent. All you have to do is watch her speak. This is not a president.”
Here is what Trump said about Clinton during a 2007 CNN interview:
When asked if Clinton will be the 2008 Democratic nominee, Trump said, “I think she will be. She’s very talented, and she has a husband that I also like very much.”
The idea that voters should pick a president based on their speaking ability is complete self-serving Trump nonsense. Here’s a newsflash for Donald Trump. He is not a good public speaker. He is a great salesperson, but a terrible speaker. Donald Trump can’t stay on topic. He rambles. He bores even his own supporters by going off on odd tangents.
Trump is running a campaign that mirrors superficial shallowness of the man himself. The Republican nominee doesn’t want candidates to be evaluated based on their experience and their policies. To Trump, speaking ability and natural talent are all it takes to be a good president.
Donald Trump doesn’t seem to know what the president actually does. Trump truly believes that he is going to go into the Oval Office and order a wall to get built, Muslims to be banned, immigrants to be deported and tariffs levied, and if Congress disagrees, he will negotiate with them and cut a deal. This isn’t how legislative process works.
Trump also thinks that he can “unsign” executive orders that President Obama has issued. Donald Trump seems to think that he is taking over a company, not a country. Trump thinks the president runs around making speeches while making America great.
The public speaking aspect of the presidency is a small part of the job. A president has to have real policies and an agenda to persuade the public to support.
Trump has no policies, just promises. Trump has no agenda. He is making it up as he goes along, and what’s clear from the presumptive Republican nominee’s remarks is that he has no idea what the President Of The United States does every day.
