Tim Kaine and Hillary Clinton in Miami

The Sunshiny Wrath Of Tim Kaine: Clinton/Kaine Ticket Shines In Rousing Debut

The Clinton/Kaine ticket made their debut in Florida, and threw Republicans for a loop with a perfect tone of sunshine.

Presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton made her first appearance with Tim Kaine as her VP choice. Unlike the Trump/Pence debacle of a week earlier, Clinton made the rally all about talking up the character, record, and accomplishments of her running mate.

Clinton called Kaine, “A leader who cares more about making a difference than making headlines.” She made reference to Kaine standing up to the gun lobby in Virginia.

Video of Clinton praising Kaine’s stand against the NRA:

Clinton hammered Trump for saying that he alone can fix it. She said, “It is just nonsense. No one in this country does anything alone.” She hammered Trump for painting the American people as helpless. For the second straight day, Clinton’s line about we are better than what Trump is offering drew chants of U-S-A from the crowd.

Tim Kaine took the stage and greeted the crowd in both English and Spanish. Sen. Kaine said that what was also on his mind this week was his Marine son getting deployed to Europe this week. Kaine smoothly transitioned into calling out Trump for calling the American military a disaster. Kaine said that Trump’s NATO comments are an invitation to Putin to roll on in.

Kaine said, “We’ve seen that when Donald Trump says he has your back. You’d better watch out.”

Sen. Kaine tells you to watch your back if Trump says he’s looking out for you:

Sen. Kaine contrasted the characters of Clinton and Trump and later highlighted the fact that he is one of twenty Americans in history who served as a mayor, a governor, and a senator.

Kaine showed exactly why he was Clinton’s pick. Tim Kaine delivered a speech that sounded like it was from the heartland, but also warm and enjoyable. It is clear that, unlike Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton did not pick her running mate to be a second banana stooge. Kaine brings a warmth to this election that has gone missing under Donald Trump’s constant storm clouds of doom.

Tim Kaine hit it out of the park with his speech and Republicans should be very afraid.
