Kaine, one of only a handful of people in history to serve as a mayor, governor, and senator, also outlined his past accomplishments and explained why Hillary Clinton has the character to be president.
“She’s consistent. She has battled to put kids and families first since she was a teenager – in good times and bad, in victory and defeat, in or out of office,” Kaine said.
Kaine reminded voters of Clinton’s passion and history of helping children and families. He also revealed what drives Donald Trump.
“Trump has a passion, too,” Kaine said. “Himself.”
Kaine also went out of his way to take a shot at Trump’s refusal to make his tax returns public – something every presidential candidate in modern history has done.
