While appearing on CNN’s The Situation Room, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson dodged a question about whether or not Trump has apologized to Khan family, and then rewrote history, “It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life, so I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused about why he was being held responsible for something that he had nothing to do with while Hillary Clinton had everything to do with.

Army Capt. Humayun Khan bravely gave up his life to save others on June 8, 2004, when George W. Bush was president, not Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton did not have anything to do with Capt. Khan’s death. At the time, she was still the junior Senator from New York.

The Trump campaign is lying about history to justify their candidate’s attacks on a Gold Star family.

Republicans are in a tailspin that is growing worse by the hour, and not even the blame Obama card can save them from the growing disaster that is Donald Trump.
