Green Party’s Jill Stein Flies To Wrong City For Her Own Campaign Speech

Last updated on July 17th, 2023 at 09:08 pm

In a true Spinal Tap moment, Green Party nominee Jill Stein was late for her campaign speech because she accidentally flew to Cincinnati, OH instead of Columbus.
The Columbus Dispatch reported:

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was scheduled to speak at Capital University in Bexley at noon today but it looks like she’s running a little late.

That’s because instead of flying into Columbus, she accidentally went to Cincinnati instead, according to the Capital University Greens Student Organization who is sponsoring the event.

And the Green Party wonders why no one takes them seriously.

One of the problems with the Greens is that they have become less about their original ideology, and more the Jill Stein party. Fair or not, incidents like these are about the only time that third party candidates get any broad mainstream media attention.

Jill Stein is running fourth in the overall presidential race with roughly half or less of the support of Libertarian Gary Johnson. The Johnson uptick can be attributed more to Republican dissatisfaction with Donald Trump, but the movement of Bernie Sanders supporters towards Jill Stein never happened.

Stein’s presidential campaign is doing more harm than good for the Green Party, and odd gaffes like flying to the wrong city are another blow to the Green Party’s credibility.
