Megyn Kelly took down Trump surrogate Newt Gingrich while destroying the Republican presidential nominee, and igniting the next phase of the implosion of the Republican Party.

The exchange between Trump surrogate Newt Gingrich and Megyn Kelly was a sight to behold.
Gingrich tried to pull the same whiny schtick that he used during the Republican primaries in 2012 to complain that the media hasn’t covered the decades-old Bill Clinton accusations as much as they have covered the allegations of sexual assault against Trump.
Kelly said, “My point to you is as a media we don’t get to say the ten women are lying. We have to cover that story, sir.”
Gingrich claimed that the Trump story was covered more that the Trump’s Hillary Clinton speech conspiracy.
Kelly replied, “That is worth covering, and we did.”
Gingrich got full of nasty male privilege and started lecturing Kelly about being fascinated with sex.
Kelly got to the point, “You know what, Mr. Speaker? I’m not fascinated by sex. But I am fascinated by the protection of women and understanding what we’re getting in the Oval Office, and I think the American voters would like to know…”
Gingrich rudely interrupted and tried to change the subject to Bill Clinton being a “sexual predator.”
Kelly kept cool and said, “Yeah, listen. It’s not about me. It’s about the men and women of America, and the poll numbers show us that the women of America, in particular, are very concerned about these allegations, and in large part, believe that they are a real issue and don’t dismiss the women summarily.”
Gingrich began to try to bully Kelly into saying the words Bill Clinton sexual predator.
Kelly reminded Gingrich that she has covered the story of the Bill Clinton allegations and added a kill shot, “But he’s not on the ticket. And the polls also show that the American public is less interested in the deeds of Hillary Clinton’s husband than they are in the deeds of the man who asks us to make him the next president, Donald Trump. We’re going to have to leave it at that, and you can take your anger issues, and spend some time working on them.”
Newt Gingrich was speaking for the misogynists that have taken over the GOP. Kelly represents the mainstream face that the Republican wishes that they could present to the country.
Megyn Kelly is the future of Fox News. As soon as the network pushes Bill O’Reilly into retirement, she will be the centerpiece star of the channel.
It would be a surprise to no one if Donald Trump and his supporters spent the rest of the campaign attacking Megyn Kelly.
Megyn Kelly and Newt Gingrich gave Republicans a taste of what they can look forward to after the election.
Trump’s defeat won’t be the GOP bottom. The meltdown of the Republican Party is just getting started.
