As Republican Donald Trump tried to save his sinking empire by promoting the opening of his DC hotel today, Democrat Hillary Clinton waved at an overflow crowd for a packed campaign event in southern Florida today.

Trump called his DC hotel the most coveted piece of real estate in Washington DC, aside from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. It’s not, but this could be his way of trying to comfort his bruised ego.
In reality, Trump’s new hotel in Washington, D.C. is suffering. “While every other 5-star accommodation was booked for a recent IMF conference in the city, Trump’s hotel was reducing rates because they were unable to fill the building.”
Trump is facing likely defeat to an embarrassing degree, which could be why he walked back his campaign message of doom and gloom to announce today, “The United States is great, it’s great. Its people are great.”
Yes, its people are great and that is why Hillary Clinton had an enthusiastic overflow crowd while Donald Trump tried to rescue his sinking brand and thus empire with just just 13 days left to go until the election on November 8th.
It’s Hillary Clinton’s birthday today, and no doubt this sharp contrast between her campaign and her opponent’s just days before the election is a welcome gift, albeit one for which she worked much harder than she should have had to.
The crowd serenaded Clinton today for her birthday:

Democrats and sane people need to do more than cheer for Hillary Clinton, they need to show up to vote and take 5 people with them. In spite of what Donald Trump tells his “fans”, no President can get their policy agenda done without Congress and Republicans are already talking about obstructing Clinton like they have Obama for the last 8 years.
America needs to make their disgust clear to down-ballot Republicans – it’s time to grow up and govern for the people.
