President Obama Blasts Trump For Being Arrogant Despite The Fact He Knows Nothing

It is his last day of campaigning and President Obama wasted no time getting right to the heart of the matter as he sees it.

President Obama got to the heart of the problem with Donald Trump Monday in Ann Arbor, Michigan while campaigning for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. Obama said it’s bad enough being arrogant when you know what you’re talking about, but “It’s really bad being arrogant when you don’t know what you’re talking about.”

The event was held at the Ray L. Fisher Stadium at the University of Michigan. There were long lines of people waiting to get in. They held signs, one of which read, “Thank you Mr. President!”

Watch your President’s whole speech here, including the crowd shouting that they love him and Obama’s response, “I love you too”:

Obama said, “I am feeling a little sentimental… This is going to be my last, probably my last day of campaigning for quite a while.”

Obama fittingly closed out the rally with Springsteen’s Land of Hope and Dreams:

President Obama is making the closing case for Hillary Clinton, giving her his seal of POTUS approval and with it his high job approval numbers. On Monday, Obama’s approval jumped 3 points to 56%, and his disapproval went down to 41% per Gallup.

Obama is in a unique position to make the case for Clinton, not just because they were political adversaries who joined together to serve their country and in doing so built a solid foundation of mutual respect, but because Obama represented hope and has sought to elevate the country during his two terms so far. Obama has at times been the spiritual leader of the country, calling us to be better.

So when the moral leader and great family man says Hillary Clinton is his choice, and he campaigns with passion for her, it matters. It should move the dial on her “trustworthy” question, a result of the relentless Republican investigations into Clinton.

Obama is also the right person to say that Trump is offensive because he’s arrogant while knowing nothing. Nothing offends Obama more than wilful ignorance and he knows that Trump’s flimsy ego is so delicate and precarious that he simply can’t handle reality let alone information that might question his core beliefs.

Of course Donald Trump is arrogant; he literally doesn’t know enough to know what he doesn’t know.

There is a special class reserved for his predecessors like Sarah Palin. Those who rail on a system they do not even understand, while thinking they are superior to it and to everyone who got dirty building it and bettering it. President Obama is not having it and he’s hoping to energize citizens to get out the vote to keep Donald Trump from the White House.
