Donald Trump was quite outraged by the hacked emails that suggested Donna Brazile had fed Hillary Clinton a debate question. Trump said Brazile should be fired from the DNC and suggested that if he had done this, he would end up in the electric chair. “What would happen if I did that? The electric chair, I think.”
Trump claimed it showed that the primary was rigged.
He should know, as Megyn Kelly revealed in her book that someone fed Donald Trump at least her first debate question.

“Then, the day before the first presidential debate, Mr. Trump was in a lather again, Ms. Kelly writes. He called Fox executives, saying he’d heard that her first question ‘was a very pointed question directed at him.’ This disconcerted her, because it was true: It was about his history of using disparaging language about women,” Jennifer Senior at the Brazile repeated her denials of aiding Clinton, “Well, Kelly, since I play straight up and I play straight up with you, I did not receive any questions from CNN.”
So Kelly knew at that time that Donald Trump had been aided by someone, probably at Fox News, in the same way as Donna Brazile was being accused of aiding Trump.
The alleged Brazile leak caused CNN to let go of Donna Brazile, while they hung on to the man still being paid by Donald Trump, Corey Lewandowski – the man who has left CNN now reportedly to go work in the Trump administration.
Senior also notes that on the day of the debate, Kelly might have been poisoned. “On the day of the debate, Ms. Kelly writes, she woke up feeling great. Then an overzealous, suspiciously enthusiastic driver picked her up to take her to the convention center. He insisted on getting her coffee, though she’d repeatedly declined his offer. Once it was in her hand, she drank it. And within 15 minutes, she was violently ill, vomiting so uncontrollably that it was unclear if she’d be able to help moderate that evening. It was so bad that she kept a trash pail beneath her desk throughout the debate, just in case.”
Kelly writes that there was stomach bug going around, Senior notes. It’s impossible to know what happened, but the scariest thing is it wouldn’t be outside the realm of possibility given how both Trump and Ailes deal with their “enemies”.
The Trump family is big on their persecution complex, repeatedly crying that Donald Trump would be in the “electric chair” if he did what he accused Clinton of doing. His son also spent time on the trail whining hysterically about the electric chair for his father. These are not tough people, built for politics. These are people who are used to silencing dissent with lawyers or through intimidation.
It turns out that Donald Trump was aided in the exact same way as he accused Clinton of being aided. Donald Trump is a projection specialist, if nothing else.
You can bet that now that the shoe is on the other foot, there will be an excuse for Donald Trump. It won’t matter to Donald Trump or his followers who were so outraged, just like it didn’t matter to Fox News that someone at their network probably leaked at least the first question to the Republican nominee.
