The crowd numbers are in for Donald Trump’s inaugural concert, and they are as Trump would say sad. Trump drew an estimated 390,000 fewer people to his concert than attended Barack Obama’s in 2009.
The numbers:
Crowd for Trump's inaugural concert: 10,000
Crowd for Obama's inaugural concert: 400,000 https://t.co/OG8OAwn2o0To get more stories like this, subscribe to our newsletter The Daily.

Pictures like the one above are why Donald Trump keeps desperately trying to convince the American people that he won in a landslide. Trump didn’t win in a landslide. He lost the popular vote by roughly 3 million votes and is only president because of less than 100,000 voters in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.
Trump is beginning his presidency with the worst approval ratings in history, and his inauguration is not drawing the size of crowds that would suggest support and enthusiasm for the incoming administration.
Donald Trump will never be on Obama’s level. He will always be the reality television star who conned his way into the White House. For roughly 60% of Americans, Trump is not their president.
