Obama Storms Back Onto The National Scene As Things Go From Bad To Worse For Republicans

President Obama is keeping his promise to promote engagement and train the next generation of political leaders by holding his first post-presidential event in Chicago on Monday.

A press release provided to PoliticusUSA from the office of President Obama confirmed his return, “President Barack Obama will be joined by young leaders on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 11 am CT for a conversation on community organizing and civic engagement at the University of Chicago. This event is part of President Obama’s post-presidency goal to encourage and support the next generation of leaders driven by strengthening communities around the country and the world. Young adults from schools in the Chicago area have been invited to attend the event.”

Before he left office, Obama told the American people that he was still going to be around and involved, and he is doing exactly that. While one would expect the former president to avoid any comment on the current political situation on Monday, the fact that he is returning with public events that are certain to generate national media attention is terrible news for Republicans who continue to flounder and fail in Washington.

Obama’s successful presidency hangs over every move that the unpopular Trump makes.
