Donald Trump’s twitter feed today is missing something: any reference to Earth Day or the March for Science. He preferred to tweet instead about “Big TAX REFORM AND TAX REDUCTION” and how he will be “holding a BIG rally in Pennsylvania” next Saturday.
It isn’t like Donald Trump to miss an opportunity for hypocrisy. He has done it often enough before, celebrating causes he is against.
It Trump isn’t going to champion science even hypocritically, we can still attack his anti-science record, and that is exactly what Joy Reid of MSNBC’s AM Joy Show did this morning:

Donald Trump has wasted no opportunity to act against the environment and in defense of polluters. We could act to Joy Reid’s list his appointment of anti-science climate change denier Scott Pruitt to head the EPA and former Texas Governor Rick Perry, who owns a stake in the pipeline currently violating sacred Sioux treaty rights, or even Exxon chief Rex Tillerson’s appointment as Secretary of State.
If ever the deck was stacked against science and the environment, it was Donald Trump’s cabinet.
The actions of Americans throughout the country will have to substitute for the president’s silence on the importance of science and in defense of the environment against the global warming that, if nothing is done, will destroy us all.
