The Trump White House denied the allegations in the New York Times, which were based on notes kept by former FBI Director James Comey and alleged that Trump asked Comey to drop the investigation into Flynn.
Schiff also noted that they need Comey’s notes and if there are any tapes as Trump alleged, those should also be obtained. Schiff said they could subpoena the tapes if need be.
Schiff cited the loyalty test Trump demanded and the report that Trump asked Comey to drop the investigation into Flynn as “enough is enough, Congress really needs to get to the bottom of this.”
