Trump Accuses Clinton And Obama Of Illegal Acts While Tantruming About Special Counsel Witch Hunt

President Trump was let out of his cage long enough to tweet, and it appears to be the real Donald because there’s a misspelling, that the special counsel appointed to investigate his possible collusion with Russia is the “single greatest witch hunt in American history.”

“With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel (sic) appointed!”

“This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!”

This is the same man who spent years hunting for President Obama’s birth certificate.

After the President finally produced it, Donald Trump, who is loath to believe in facts, continued on his birther hunt against Obama.

This is the man who claims millions of “illegals” voted against him in the 2016 election and he’s spending your money to find them, even though this didn’t happen.

After Trump was blindsided by the appointment of a special prosecutor, the statement the White House sent out last night to PoliticusUSA was decidedly not Donald Trump:

“As I have stated many times, a thorough investigation will confirm what we already know – there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity. I look forward to this matter concluding quickly. In the meantime, I will never stop fighting for the people and the issues that matter most to the future of our country.”

We go from that somewhat measured, if terse, statement to full fledged paranoia and self-pity once Trump gets his phone again.

In fact the Russia investigation that Trump tried to interfere with is not a witch hunt. It has all of the appearances of the opposite. Many of us were aware of Trump’s Russia issues before the election. The fact that it wasn’t made into the issue it should have been then is called privilege. Which is the opposite of a witch hunt.

It turns out that top Republicans knew Putin was paying political candidates to undermine democracy and Kevin McCarthy told Speaker Paul Ryan and others in June of 2016 that he thought Putin was paying Donald Trump. Paul Ryan then saved Trump from the public learning of this by swearing the group to secrecy.

We now have a person in the White House who not only appointed someone to the National Security Adviser whom he knew to be compromised by Russia, but who was also being paid by Turkey and then allowed this person, Mike Flynn, to enact Turkey’s ISIS agenda here, in the United States, without disclosing that he was doing so. This should never happen in the first place, to be clear — this is close to treason, as Laurence Tribe explained Wednesday evening.

The New York Times reported Wednesday evening that Trump’s transition team knew Flynn was under investigation before he came to the White House, which is a big problem for Mike Pence since he was the head of the transition team and responsible for vetting.

This is a man so unqualified for the office he holds, he let his daughter and her son pick the National Security Adviser as a payment for loyalty to Trump:

This is a man who gave the Russians intel that came from the most valuable source the U.S. has on ISIS plots.

This is a man who is being protected from a real investigation by the Republican Party on all fronts, from the DOJ to Congress. It’s long past the time when there should have been independent investigations.

Trump knows that Russia interfered in our election but has not shown concern over this fact. Instead, he whines about why no one cares that there are leaks from his White House to the press. The reason there are leaks is because he is not doing his job well and people are either trying to save him or save us. Leadership is one thing that does trickle down. A White House in chaos is a finger pointed at the leader.

Witch hunt? Donald Trump is lucky he is in the White House at all. Donald Trump doesn’t belong in the White House. Donald Trump is either very stupid or very criminal. The time for self-pity is over.
