The CBO on Trumpcare agrees with Democrats. The American Health Care Act would make insurance unaffordable for people with preexisting conditions.
The CBO found, “CBO and JCT expect that, as a consequence, the waivers in those states would have another effect: Community-rated premiums would rise over time, and people who are less healthy
(including those with preexisting or newly acquired medical conditions) would ultimately be unable to purchase comprehensive nongroup health insurance at premiums comparable to those under current law, if they could purchase it at all—despite the additional funding that would be available under H.R. 1628 to help reduce premiums. As a result, the nongroup markets in those states would become unstable for people with higher-than-average expected health care costs. That instability would cause some people who would have been insured in the nongroup market under current law to be uninsured. Others would obtain coverage through a family member’s employer or through their own employer.”
What happens to the millions of Americans who have a preexisting condition, and are faced with losing their health insurance after they are kicked off Medicaid, and don’t have access to employer-based coverage? Those very sick people will be uninsured. They will have to go emergency rooms for their care, or they will keep getting sick until they die.
Most of the states in the country are controlled by Republican governors and/or legislatures, so there is a good chance that the bulk of the country would see the protections for pre-existing conditions go away. The hot issue at Republican constituent town halls is still health care.

Democrats are being proven correct. The American Health Care Act (Trumpcare) is a disaster for Americans with pre-existing conditions.
It is time for people to take to the streets and tell Republicans that they will pay for their jobs if they pass and enact Trumpcare.
