Trump, Who Is Hiding His Tax Returns, Accuses 20 States Of Hiding Voter Fraud

As Donald Trump refuses to release his tax returns, he has accused 20 states of hiding voter fraud because they refuse to turn over any of their voter data to his election integrity commission.

Trump said, “If any state does not want to share this information, one has to wonder what they are worried about, and I ask the Vice President, and I ask the commission what are they worried about? There’s something. There’s always something.”

The something that Trump was hinting at was voter fraud. Trump is claiming that nearly half of the country is engaging in voter fraud against him. For the record, 44 states have refused to turn over some or all of the data that Trump’s voter fraud commission requested, so his claim that more than 30 states have turned over their data is false.

It is curious that a president who won’t turn over his tax returns is so eager to spin tales about states who refuse to turn over their voter data. The reason why states won’t hand over their data is that the administration of elections is a state power under the Constitution. Other states won’t turn over sensitive data because doing so would violate privacy laws.

Trump was right about one point. When someone is hiding something, there is always a reason why. Donald Trump is hiding his tax returns, and one suspects that there is a Russia related reason why he won’t turn them over.
