The Feds Are Closing In On Trump Because Paul Manafort Told Them About Russia Meeting

The FBI found out about the meeting between Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and the Russians because former campaign manager Paul Manafort told the feds about it.

Bloomberg reported, “In fact, Manafort had alerted authorities to a controversial meeting on June 9, 2016, involving Trump’s son Donald Jr., other campaign representatives and a Russian lawyer promising damaging information on Hillary Clinton, according to people familiar with the matter. The president and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, were dragged into the matter as details repeatedly emerged that contradicted the initial accounts of that meeting.”

Manafort is not being described as a witness who is flipping on Trump, but it is now known that he provided information to investigators. The problem for Trump is that there are enough people in enough criminal troubling involving Russia and the 2016 election that the odds of everyone staying 100% quiet to protect the President are slim to none.

The reason why criminal investigators are closing in on Trump is that people are talking. They aren’t telling everything that they know, but they are giving up enough information to bring investigators closer to the Trumps.
