Rep. Frederica Wilson’s Response To Trump’s Disrespect Sends Goosebumps Up The Spine

Rep. Frederica Wilson is not only standing by her story of Trump’s ugly phone call to the family of La David Johnson, she also hammered Trump for disrespecting Johnson’s widow, Myesha Johnson.

After Trump took his disrespect to new level by telling reporters, “I didn’t say what that congresswoman said; didn’t say it all. She knows it. And she now is not saying it. I did not say what she said, and I’d like her to make the statement again because I did not say what she said. I had a very nice conversation with the woman, with the wife who was — sounded like a lovely woman. Did not say what the congresswoman said, and most people aren’t too surprised to hear that.”

Trump then dared Rep. Wilson to make her statement again/

Rep. Wilson’s tweet smartly pointed out that Trump never used the name of Johnson’s widow. In fact, he didn’t even bother to use the name of Sgt. Johnson.

Wilson was also on The View on Wednesday morning, where she mentioned that Trump appeared to not know the name of the Green Beret that he was calling the family about, “Well, you know, I heard him say this is what he signed. I’m sure he knows this is what he signed up for, but it still hurt, and the saddest part of this. He kept referring to La David as your guy. He never called his name. It was almost as if he forgot his name, and that’s what hurt the mother so badly, his wife. She said, ‘he doesn’t even know his name.’â€

“The woman” lost her husband and father to her three children. She has a name, and Rep. Wilson made it clear to Trump that his disrespect won’t be tolerated. In spite of Trump’s best efforts, decency and respect still exist in this country. Rep. Wilson is an honorable public servant, who said to Trump what members of own party lack the spine to say.
