In a Friday night pout, Trump claimed that Democrats want a government shutdown, but what he left out was that he bailed on a deal with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) earlier in the day.
Trump tweeted:
Not looking good for our great Military or Safety & Security on the very dangerous Southern Border. Dems want a Shutdown in order to help diminish the great success of the Tax Cuts, and what they are doing for our booming economy.

However, according to Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), Trump walked away from a deal:
Per Dem @SenBlumenthal :
"There was virtually a deal, a comprehensive agreement between Chuck Schumer & the president, and he walked away from it after he talked to his hard right."— Lisa Mascaro (@LisaMascaro) January 20, 2018
Trump had an initial deal negotiated in a bipartisan way on DACA, and he walked away. Trump had a deal on Friday, and after talking to Sen. Tom Cotton and the far-right wingers in the administration, he bailed.
There is one man who is responsible for this shutdown, and that is Donald Trump.
