Shameless Trump Attacks Victimized Women For Exposing Abusive Men

Donald Trump waged an all-out attack on women on Saturday for coming forward to expose abusive men, saying that these allegations destroy the lives and careers of those being accused.

In a Saturday Twitter post, the president said, “There is no recovery for someone falsely accused – life and career are gone.”

Trump’s insensitive tweet comes after two members of his staff were pushed out this week over abuse claims made by ex-wives, all within two days of each other.

In the first case, staff secretary Rob Porter was forced to resign after two of his ex-wives claimed he physically abused them. One of the women even shared a picture of the black eye she was given by Porter. White House aides knew of the allegations for months but allowed him to stay.

More recently, White House speechwriter David Sorensen left the administration after his ex-wife alleged that he was violent and emotionally abusive. Sorensen denied the claims and even said it was he who was the victim.

The fact that these two men were welcomed to stay in a White House run by Donald Trump should be surprising to no one.

After all, Trump is literally on tape bragging about his own sexual assault. Over a dozen women have come forward to share their stories about his past abusive conduct. Not to mention, it was recently revealed that Trump paid a porn star over $100,000 so she would keep quiet about an affair they had.

This kind of behavior flourishes in this administration because the man at the top sees no problem with it. His lifetime of despicable conduct is proof of just how little this president respects women.

But Trump is wrong that these credible allegations destroy the lives and careers of those being accused. After all, the most high-profile sexual predator in the world – him – is President of the United States.
