Trump Demands That His Military Parade Be Held On Veteran’s Day At The White House

Trump has directed the military to hold his military parade on Veteran’s Day at the White House.

Politico reported, “The president has directed the Department of Defense to organize a parade that would take place on Nov. 11 – Veterans Day – according to an unclassified Feb. 20 memo written by National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster….The memo also said that the parade route should begin at the White House and end at the Capitol.”

The Trump military parade is not for veterans

If Trump really was trying hold a parade for veterans, he wouldn’t have it take place in the city where he can watch it from his bedroom window. Republicans seem to think that this parade is going to be great for their party, but the reality is that the parade will take place days after a midterm election that could flip Congress to Democrats.

Trump OMB Director Mick Mulvaney said that the parade will cost taxpayers $30 million, and it impossible not to believe that $30 million could not be better spent by providing care, housing, or food to veterans.

The president wants to look like a strongman, so he is going to compensate for his inadequacies by rolling tanks down Pennsylvania Avenue. Republicans are going to try to sell this sham as for the vets, but in reality is weak and sad president trying to make himself feel powerful by ordering tanks to roll past his door.
