The End Is Near For Ivanka Trump After Illegally Sending Loads Of Emails

A Democratic takeover of the House combined with a legitimately criminal email scandal adds up to Ivanka Trump’s days being numbered in her father’s White House.

The Washington Post reported that Ivanka Trump sent hundreds of illegal emails from the White House:

White House ethics officials learned of Trump’s repeated use of personal email when reviewing emails gathered last fall by five Cabinet agencies to respond to a public records lawsuit. That review revealed that throughout much of 2017, she often discussed or relayed official White House business using a private email account with a domain that she shares with her husband, Jared Kushner.

The discovery alarmed some advisers to President Trump, who feared that his daughter’s practices bore similarities to the personal email use of Hillary Clinton, an issue he made a focus of his 2016 campaign. He attacked his Democratic challenger as untrustworthy and dubbed her “Crooked Hillary†for using a personal email account as secretary of state.

Some aides were startled by the volume of Ivanka Trump’s personal emails — and taken aback by her response when questioned about the practice. She said she was not familiar with some details of the rules, according to people with knowledge of her reaction.

Ivanka Trump Private Email Use Broke The Law, and There Is A Long Investigative Precedent

The Bush administration was under investigation multiple times for violations of public recordkeeping laws for using private email for government work. The infamous Hillary Clinton email scandal was a years-long investigation that tainted her presidential campaign, because Clinton, like Ivanka Trump, set up a private email domain/system that included government work.

Ivanka Trump broke the law and starting in January, there will be consequences for her actions.

House Democrats Are Coming To Power So Ivanka Trump’s Days Are Numbered

It is impossible to believe that Ivanka Trump was the only person in the Trump administration who violated the Presidential Records Act. Beyond the hypocrisy of “president lock her up” having a family email scandal, there is the very real probability that important correspondence and government information are not being kept and saved by this administration.

House Democrats have bigger fish to fry than Ivanka Trump’s emails, but there is likely a bigger scandal here that merits inspection, and when Democrats start to investigate, don’t be surprised if Ivanka and Jared pack their bags and head back to New York.
