90% of Delusional Fox News Viewers Think Romney Will Beat Obama in Ohio
By: Jason EasleySep. 26th, 2012more from Jason Easley
Fox News viewers are so out of touch with reality that 90% of them actually think that Mitt Romney is going to win Ohio.
Special Report with Bret Baier asked Fox News viewers who they thought was going to win Ohio. Contrary to all of the polling that has Obama leading, 90% of Fox News viewers expect Romney to win.
Here are the current, at the time of publication, results of the poll:
As it states at the bottom of the graphic, this was not a scientific poll. However, it does tell us a lot about Fox News viewers. Like, the fact that 90% of them appear to be completely out of touch with reality. They think Romney will win Ohio, even though new polling suggests that Obama has opened up a double digit lead in the state. Fox News viewers think Romney will win despite the fact that his rallies in the state are drawing hundreds of supporters, while Obama is drawing thousands.
Perhaps they have forgotten that Ohio is the state where Republicans joined with Democrats to repeal John Kasich’s union busting SB 5 by a margin of 61%-39%. This is a state where the auto bailout is supported, 62%-30%. This is a state that Obama carried in 2008, and where his message is playing well again in 2012.
It is easy for non-Republicans to shake their heads and chuckle as Republicans start claiming that all the polls are really against Romney, and they bring up anything for a buck guy Dick Morris’ latest concoction that shows Mitt Romney really winning the election, but the truth is that these people really believe what is coming out of their mouths.
They truly can’t fathom why we all aren’t joining with them to throw Obama out of office. Their minds and communications have been so saturated with the right wing view that it is the only world that they see. It isn’t just that Fox News viewers are deluded and living in their own fantasy land where Obama is a secret Muslim socialist who is coming to steal your guns, but that this is their reality.
Of course, 90% of Fox News viewers think Romney will win Ohio. I mean, isn’t it obvious? Obama has ruined America, except in the minds of majority of the country that thinks Bush and the GOP ruined our economy, and the president is making things better.
Republicans aren’t in a different reality. They are living in an alternate universe. On Election Day, a portal will open, and for one day we will all be living in the same place.
For one brief shining moment Fox News viewers and the rest of the Republican Party will see our world, and if Obama wins they will quickly slip back into their alternate reality for another four years.

Those pollsters are completely speechless when you mention support for a third party candidate. I love being an independent.

Good, then maybe they’ll stay home and not bother to vote, since they think it’s already in the bag for their guy.

I just can’t decide if I should feel a little bit sorry for the low-information voters or not. It’s very unfair for them that they receive false information, and though I know they could change the channel, do they even *know* they’re getting false information? This is setting them up for a HUGE letdown come election day. I understand why right wing media is doing it, to some degree, because they don’t want the base giving up this early on, and deserting Vulture and Voucher. But still, truths are truths, and they deserve to have them.

Some republicans really aren’t good at making connections. They seem to have forgotten Romney’s op-ed, “Let Detroit Go Bankrupt,” and that one out of every eight jobs in Ohio are related to the auto industry. I think they really thought that Eric Ferhnstrom’s Etch A Sketch theory would work for Romney as he flipped and flopped on every topic.

Detroit did go bankrupt six months after receiving the stimulus money and it cost the taxpayers an extra 25 million dollars to file. Romney wanted to file bankruptcy because he knew that the stimulus would not work and wanted to save the taxpayers the extra cost. Get your facts straight.

Fox republicans believe Romney will win Ohio because they believe the GOP voter suppression tactics are really gonna work and that tens of thousands of Ohioans will not come out to vote.

I am not surprised by this finding, because FOX viewers have proven many times that they are unmoored from reality. They are a truly pathetic bunch of folks that I have absolutely no sympathy for.

What will faux noose do when our president gets his second term AND a cooperative congress? I have an idea, the whole of faux can join Limpballs, hold hands and trot off to Costa Rica, where idiots like them belong!

They will shout from the rooftops that Obama and the Dems stole the Elections and the Presidency from their guy and the dumb and dumber who listen to their network will believe them. Watch for the increase in gun sales and more threats against PO.

” trot off to Costa Rica”…. Don’t insult Costa Rica like that! That little Central American nation has much more voter turnout than any of us will ever see.
I think they just need to get a dose of reality in one of those places that they hate so much to find out exactly why they think they should hate it so much.

I am from Ohio. It’s too early, but the polls in the state project an Obama victory.
The Auto Rescue plan, We Are Ohio who crushed Kasich so bad in the SB5 fight that he made up his mind(for now) not to pick a fight with unions, and the fist-fights over voting which revived the urban voters in the state.
Also, the race for US Senate has given Sherrod Brown an edge because of the outside money pouring in the state, and the fact that his opponent has called the Auto Rescue plan “un-American.”

I think Romney and repubs are satisfied that voter suppression, manipulation of voting machines and intimidation of voters at the polls should do the trick for them!

Let’s not be complacent. Does anyone remember Dubya in 2000 PROMISING that he would win Florida? He was behind in the polls, but he knew what he knew and he pulled it off (later and messier than he’d wanted, but still). He knew the game that was being rigged.
We can ill-afford these pricks, and to ignore the game that afoot would be foolishness.

I agree wholeheartedly! Do NOT get complacent, people! We must all vote on election day (or via absentee if that is how you choose) in spite of the republican bullying and attempted oppression. We can not let them ‘win’ in any way, shape, or form. Time to let them know enough is enough and the majority of Americans are not going to take their garbage anymore!

I don’t know what world these people are living in. It’s like they think if they just click their heels together and say something over and over, it will automatically come true. They’re all certifiable at this point and I have a feeling that if we still had actual insane asylums today, they’d be busting at the seams on November 7th because Republicans are going to lose what little is left of their minds.

We must not become complacent. The GOP, Fox and the right-wingnuts will lie, cheat, steal and I have no doubt kill to get their puppets into office.
In the immortal words of John Adams (from “1776″ anyway), “VOTE, damn you!”

Rmoney doesn’t have the Bush connections…..I’m not ruling it out, but I think a really pretty landslide will be very hard to overturn.
The GOP is literally DRIVING people to vote for Obama.
Many states now have early voting by mail and some states vote only by mail. DO IT if you can. It saves you headaches at the polls on election day – and makes it easier for people who can’t quite get it together to vote early!
It also gives you a tremendous feeling of relief.
If you are challenged at the polls, fight back. Do NOT be intimidated. They can ONLY win if they cheat or if they drive you away.
If you possess a US passport, take it with you but do NOT give it to anyone to TOUCH – do NOT let it out of your hands.
Whatever happens, make YOUR vote COUNT.
And stop downing CR – it’s practically my second home .. and someday I’d live there if I could. There is NO army, no military, all education is FREE and all health care is FREE.

Are the people finally awakening to the damage done by corporations from shipping our jobs to low wage countries like China and India? It has hurt state budgets.
It has decimated our local apparel and textile 6000 jobs in 45,000 city.
In the last ten years 2001-2011 We lost 58,000 factories.
Each time a plant closes, it reduces revenue going to the city, state and causes deficits.
The Alliance for American Manufacturing states the U.S. Lost at least $254 Billion in manufacturing wages in the past decade due to the loss of 5.5 million manufacturing jobs. Ending China’s currency manipulation would create more than 1 million jobs, Add to economic growth, And reduce the budget deficit by $500 billion over the next six years

Please, go ahead and put the marxist Obama back in office. People who support Obama are losers in the game of life. They need government to give them things. To take from others to accomplish that end. Losers. Go ahead, ruin this country. I will take my hard-earned wealth elsewhere.

You wouldn’t recognize Marxism if it bit you in your hindparts. Besides, people are waking up to the fact that your precious Willard is an empty suit with no core convictions. He’s an unethical shape-shifter who will say and do whatever he thinks will win him the election. Your insulting those of us who see him exactly for what he is and will vote accordingly is an exercise in futility, just like his inept campaign. He’s a loser, and so is anyone deluded enough to vote for him.

Regardless of what my occupation is, apparently the irony is lost on you that a government employee is exactly what Romney aspires to be. Why else would he or anyone else aspiring to be president subject himself to the rigors of a campaign, not to mention all the money expended?
By the way, buddy, I am a black woman. And where do you get the goofy idea that government employees get “free stuff?” I always have to laugh at the irony of the cognitive dissonance on the part of those who denigrate government, as if it is the enemy. It’s a ridiculous notion that is being increasingly rejected, since anyone with an ounce of critical thinking and common sense realizes that without any government in our lives, things would be chaotic. After all, government workers include police officers, firefighters, teachers, accountants, and sanitation workers. People like Lyin’ Ryan–who has been in government since he was in his 20′s–and Weathervane Willard denigrate government workers. Yet, they want to head this same government whose employees they insult. I do work for a law enforcement agency, by the way, so my job is connected with public safety. But in your thinking, I guess we get free stuff (LOL).

@civ:
The simple folks are the ones who believe that Romney and Ryan will do anything to benefit anyone but the wealthy. That’s why they are clinging to the delusion that the polls, which are a snapshot in time, are incorrect. I have to laugh at the block-headed stupidity of anyone who either can’t or won’t acknowledge the destructiveness of the do-nothing Republicans in Congress, of which Lyin’ Ryan is one, and how they have been obstructing progress. I will be happy to re-elect Barack Obama and do what I can to help give him a Congress he can work with.
