Al Franken Would Crush Michele Bachmann 55%-38% In Senate Race
Things would go very badly for Rep. Michele Bachmann if she dared to challenge Al Franken for his Senate seat. The latest PPP poll found that Franken would defeat Bachmann 55%-38%.
Al Franken is turning out to be a very popular senator. Sen. Franken has an overall approval rating of 51%. Franken’s approval is 87% with those who are very liberal, 83% with somewhat liberals, 66% with moderates, 15% with somewhat conservatives, and 5% with very conservatives. Franken’s approval rating with Minnesota’s Obama voters is 88%. Sen. Franken leads every single one of his potential Republican challengers by at least 15 points. His biggest lead (18 points) comes against Rep. Michele Bachmann.
Bachmann’s unpopularity statewide nearly equals Franken’s popularity. Bachmann’s statewide unfavorable rating is a huge 60%. Only 34% of the those polled expressed a favorable opinion of her. Bachmann had a 90% disapproval rating with Obama voters, and only a 65% favorable rating with Romney voters. Bachmann has a 15% approval rating with very liberals, a 10% approval rating with somewhat liberals, a 15% approval rating with moderates, a 63% approval rating with somewhat conservatives, and a 76% approval rating with very conservative respondents.
If Bachmann did decide to challenge Franken, it would be a total rout for the Democrat. With the FBI joining the investigation into her 2012 presidential campaign, Bachmann may not be much longer for the House. However, it is unlikely that she would challenge Sen. Franken. On the other hand, this is Michele Bachmann and her wildly delusional ambitions that we are discussing so anything is possible.
There is a perception among some nationally that Bachmann is popular both in her district, and in the state of Minnesota. Except for the Republican wave year of Bachmann has won each of her House races by single digits. Her narrow defeat of Jim Graves last year was the biggest omen yet that she is on the decline.
The odds are that Bachmann will remain in her House seat until the voters remove her, or she is led out of the building in handcuffs. Either way, she would be fool to challenge Al Franken who looks like a lock to win reelection.

What does your speel have to do with Franken? He is a far better rep then Bachmann who just represent her gawd and not her people.
As for the rest of your rant, I somewhat agree. However I want public financing of elections and no corporate money period.

Al Franken has proven to be a very effective legislator, he does not do any national interviews, he keeps his focus on the people of Minn. which is what you want in a an elected official. Bachman on the other hand, has to go National to get enough dumbasses to think she is a good legislator. Now that the FBI is investigating her, she is done, unless the people of Minn. like her brand of hate that she gives out so freely. I think she has embarassed the people of her State enough, time for her to go on a Federally paid vacation, PRISON.

What is with all the AVERAGE references. I would think you would want an EXCEPTIONAL Senator/Congressman or woman representing you. That’s how most of the Tea Party got in, being your average everyday right wing lunatics. I really like Al Frankin, he shuns the spotlight and does his job, that’s saying something for a former SNL comedian. Michelle Bachmann on the other hand is an attention seeking train wreck :)

LOL!
I dont think you know Bachmann. She is in deep poopoo with the FBI for not holding up the constitution.
No, Franken is not a socialist. DOnt use the word when you dont know what it means.
Your reasoning needs a lot of work.
You do know that Obamacare depends on private healthcare providers right? Its not government insurance. However your military is pure socialsim. And its in the constitution. BTW, the supremes held that Obamacare is constitutional. Stop being a loser

What do you got against people saving money on their healthcare?
Policyholders will pay anywhere from nothing to $687 a month in insurance premiums under California’s health exchange, a program that will involve the participation of 13 carriers who will compete to offer coverage for the nation’s most populous state.

What planet are you from? Michelle Bachman is being investigated for Campaign fraud, Al Franklen is not. Bachman is a known liar, Al Franken is not. Bachman thinks the Census is a plot to get Americans, Al Franken thinks the census is to measure the population. I could go on for days about why Bachman is a stupid idiot, and why Al Franken is a respected Statesman who will win re-election, should he decide to run again, even Republicans have been surprised at his natural ability to be a leader with good common sense, something Michelle Bachman completely lacks, so again, I ask what planet are you from?

That says more about the people of Minnesota than it does about either politician. Maybe it’s time to elect a libertarian?

I just can’t get past the fact that Ms. Bachman can’t see what is right in front of her face every night when she lays down next to her husband. If she can’t figure out what’s really going on there in her own marriage, how can she possibly make any informed decisions for the rest of us?

Senator Franken’s detractors are just like President Obama’s detractors – FACTLESS, BASELESS, and show their IGNORANCE as to the background, education, philosophy and ideas of both genuine American populist politicians.
To them, I say,
Adios, mofos~

It’s astonishing that she would even get that much of the vote. Minnesota’s Sixth District is in sore need of remedial education.

I have heard that they have actually tested the water in her district, to see if it had something in it, that makes people stupid, because nobody can explain how this complete idiot has managed to win elections.

Who the hell are the 38% that would vote for Bachmann?

Kind of frightening, isn’t it? But the idiocy isn’t limited to Minnesota. People voted for Sharon “Second Amendment remedies” Angle in Nevada, Paul “Embryology and evolution are devil science” Broun in Georgia, Louie “Goober” Gohmert in Texas, Christine “I’m not a witch” O’Donnell in Delaware, and on and on it goes.
