David Axelrod said in an interview that the Obama Administration is considering keeping the Bush-era tax cuts for the wealthiest 2% of Americans. The question Americans deserve an honest answer to is; what is the benefit to 98% of Americans, or the economy?
Now that Democrats in Congress are in a lame duck session, they have one more opportunity to take a stand for the American people before Republicans give America to the corporate world. Republicans have been upfront about their intentions to shut down the government and remove safety nets across the board so they can give tax cuts to the rich.
Republicans have begun pushing for a war with Iran, and are using Israel’s defense and Iran’s nuclear program as a reason to engage in another war against another Islamic nation. The Republican’s drumbeat for war is a continuation of the George W. Bush “Crusade” that led America into a prolonged, costly war with Iraq.
Republicans promise to shut down the government whether Obama follows their orders or not because they want to limit him to one term and they are very open about that goal. Eric Cantor blaming President Obama for a Republican proposed government shutdown shows that Republicans are so steeped in the criminal mindset that they are assigning blame to a victim prior to the rape.
Republicans belie their belief in fiscal responsibility when they insist on giving unfunded tax cuts to the wealthy. Enter the poor, unemployed, and working-class Americans. Republicans and teabags label unemployment benefits an entitlement just like they call Social Security and Medicare welfare. Their goal is to privatize Social programs so Wall Street can prosper, and take away unemployment benefits to help pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.
With conservatives controlling the House, they are poised to take their war against science to a new level, and will be able to keep the EPA on the defensive, and in effect, impotent. Their goal is to pander to the oil industry and destroy the EPA along with Obama’s energy policy that does not favor the Koch brothers.
The loss of the House of Representatives by Democrats this election will be analyzed to death, and there is certainly enough blame to go around regardless which group is critiqued. A great portion of the blame can be attributed to corporate infusion of cash to Republican and Tea Party candidates. However, Democrats and President Obama must accept that they too, own their fair share of blame for overestimating the intelligence of the American voter.
Americans go to the polls today in spite of main stream media reports that Republicans and Tea Party candidates swept every race. Usually it is only Fox News that tells their audience what the results of elections will be in advance of an election, but in this election cycle, real journalists are jumping on the Republican bandwagon in a big way.
As we head to the polls tomorrow, ignorant, confused citizens are intending to vote against their own self-interests. Knowing Republicans have done nothing, and campaign on doing nothing for the next two years; why are people willing to vote for them? Republicans promise to help corporations by getting rid of regulations, but that only helps the wealthy.
Apparently, pride is an issue with Meek and he must think he is making a statement. He is making a statement; he’s saying it’s acceptable to give Rubio a six year stint in the Senate just to say, “I didn’t give up.”
In developing countries and dictatorships it’s not unusual or unexpected for the judicial system to be corrupt and biased. In America, it used to be a source of pride that our judicial system was fair and followed the letter of the law. Apparently, those days are gone and we are seeing the result of biased court decisions in this election cycle with unprecedented corporate donations to Republican candidates.
There is an attack on liberty in America from the corporate world, but there is a not-so-covert attack on women that is quietly steering America toward a theocracy. For example, a State Constitutional amendment on the Colorado ballot intends on extending personhood to a fetus and a fertilized ovary.
Regardless the teabag rhetoric, at the core is a hatred of gays, immigrants, Jews, people of color, and non-Christians, which is exactly the same philosophy of the KKK.
While they work night and day to deregulate corporate America, Republicans and teabaggers want to regulate morality and pass laws that force archaic biblical regulations on every American. Conservatives are hell-bent on regulating what goes on in the bedroom between consenting adults, and they want to regulate what kind of person teaches in schools.
Corporate protection at the expense of worker safety is endemic of conservative’s ideology that corporations must be protected at any cost. Demonizing unions is just another way conservatives give corporations power to control America.
Listening to rants from Conservatives, teabaggers, and Republicans is difficult and insults intelligent people in America. However, it is clear that a large group of Americans believe lies and stupid reasoning from the right, and it signals the decline of intelligence in this country.
Conservative groups have said for years that America is a Christian nation, and that the founders addressed the issue in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Christians are supposed to express love for all human beings, but Christian conservatives are hypocrites and evil incarnate because they claim to be followers of Christ, but belie everything he preached and taught.
“Since then, the American-led counteroffensive has done much to turn back the Islamist tide.” Carafano revealed that the Heritage Foundation believes the Afghan war is a war on Islam; not a war on terror.
While endlessly professing their undying love for all things constitutional, the document, the Founding Fathers, strict constructionist judges, conservatives also hate the Constitution and are willing to throw it out in favor of a document founded on bigotry and religious intolerance.
