RNC Attendees Throw Nuts at African American Camerwoman While Calling Her an Animal
The rebranding of the Republican Party and Mitt Romney took a hit last night, when the party of “who’s a racist, not us!” threw nuts at a CNN African American camerawoman and said “This is how we feed animals!”
Because multiple people witnessed the exchange, the two people responsible for the nut throwing were “removed” from the Tampa Bay Times Forum. But why? Aren’t they simply acting on the “welfare/birther” sentiments of their awkward and weird leader?
David Shuster was the first to report on the incident last night via Twitter and Talking Points Memo confirmed it with CNN and was first to write it. TPM points out this morning that CNN is in a tough situation, because of their attempts to brand themselves as the “middle”.
I was unaware that CNN was going for the middle these days, after hiring Tea Party radical haters of pretty much everyone except white conservatives, Dana Loesch and Erick Erickson. But okay.
When you chase after tea, you can’t be surprised when you end up with racist nuts.
After all, some people might say (heh) that the nut throwing at the “animals” could be directly traced to the bigoted rhetoric of Dana Loesch, who is only mimicking her leaders. However, we were assured by the media that the Republican Party is not whistling Dixie, after Chris Matthews called Romney’s racism out to much indignant squealing from the Right.
This is how Mitt Romney intends to lead a country of immigrants — from behind the bigots, with ugly nods to the Southern Strategy and obsequious bows to the birthers in his party.

I am truly shocked by this… very sad indeed. For the record, the only animals are the ones throwing nuts at a human being.

And so, those intellectually and morally superior convict someone with that fliomsy evidence.
I’d bet that it was an anti media act (or personal) than racist>>
There’s an infinite number that loathe and despise the media, much more than are racist….problem is the left ONLY sees race as the answer to any situation…!!!

Yep, now let’s hear the GOP racists say they’re not racists, or blame those reporting their racism of being racists. Americans watching the convention coverage last night got a good look at Republicans and unfortunately, a very sick America, and the worst part is they are proud of “their” vision of America.

Sometimes I think the GOP is trying to start a race war, this type of assault should not be tolerated and CNN is it’s usual cowardly self by downplaying the incident. It is amusing that Romney had his sons make a video in spanish to lure Mixican votes by touting the pride that Romney’s dad was born in Mexico. Of course they won’t tell the rest of the story -grandpa Romney fled to Mexico when he jumped bail for having 5 wives.
Obama’s grandpa was one of the liberators of the Nazi death camps.

A big problem with trying to follow the “middle ground” is that the individual or organization abiding by it often attributes a false equivalency to two sides even when one is egregiously wrong. The GOP has been continuously playing the race card against Hispanic and black people with irresponsible rhetoric among many, including Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum. So, this incident comes as no surprise. Being fair and balanced has its virtues, but when actions or words on one side are anything but fair or balanced, and are in fact atrocious, there is no justification for trying to find a middle-ground in situations where it simply doesn’t exist.

Cnn wants to LIE. I’ve seen so much evidence on the net that they’re fooling less and less people.
I quit them 10 years ago.
Thanks for the report, Sarah.

A “news” organization that ignores the cover-up is usually worse than the offense rule, tools of the right-wingers, no doubt about it.
And what of the ejected racists themselves? Why are they not proudly yelping “Victim! Violation of my freedom of speech!” ?!?

Why is this not the same as “Macacca?’
I know, I know, says the third grader in seat four, row three. “Media has changed. They are now trying to appease everyone! Right? Right?”

I applaud the decision of RNC Security Police to remove the two malignant tumors who threw nuts at a CNN camera-woman and called her an animal (because of her ethnicity) before their stupidity had a chance to metasticize and spread to other attendees. I suppose this is what inevitably happens when the political rhetoric of political candidates is tailored to appeal to the unethical ideologies of the consumately ignorant, who subsequently embrace the notion that their ideologies are suddenly valid.
I sure hope they weren’t fired?

Why is CNN not airing video of this? Middle or not, this is news, and I assume that the camerawoman had a camera?
Hint to CNN – for the RNC there is no middle. Unless you mean “in the middle of a bunch of racist idiots.”

They will pay AND SUFFER LIKE THEY’VE MADE OTHERS SUFFER FOR NOTHING..but the color of their skin.

This is a horrible example of the party that ann romney talked about, that being the party of love. Man does she live in a vacumm. Treating any person that way is unescusable. Inside the party convention doesnt make it any worse, but it is worse for old stick man Mittens. I swear he was on drugs last night
This was obviously pointed at the Pres, but the 4 fingers pointing back at the GOP were most prevelant

I sincerely doubt those two cretins would have acted as they did had they not believed that the other Republican attendees would approve and cheer their despicable behavior.
It was a predictable product of the GOP’s 24/7 race-baiting.

Maybe the two guys throwing the nuts are willing to sign up for the military for the coming wars we are going to be in if Romney is elected and he listens to to neocon advisors

Why does Romney have John Sununu for his campaign spokesman, is Sununu the only Palestinian in the
campaign and as an ex governor?
I thought the repubs hated Arabs.
