(SIGH) What they don’t tell people is that most homeless people have jobs… the crappiest, most miserable ones available (almost always through exploitative “temp” agencies). They just don’t make enough money to get off the street, and ordinary companies won’t hire them for decent wages because of the “homeless” stigma.

Meanwhile the “Good Christians” think they’re being Oh-So-Holy by telling homeless people to “Get a Job!”.

I didn’t take two jobs at nine dollars an hour – I took one at seven and a quarter, because it’s the only one there was. And if it is up to Mitt Romney, employers will be able to go back to paying us fifty cents an hour – or even a day – to maximize profits, because there will no longer BE a minimum wage.

Good story. Too bad there is not more of main stream picking up on this. The fact that President Obama is the Good, Clint’s routine with an empty chair was Ugly and the Bad guy here is Mitt Romney.

You do the American dream of building up your company to be stable. Along comes Mitt Romney and his band of corporate raiders who (as Matt Taibbi said in his Rolling Stone article) – “buys off” the management.

Then they destroy everything that was built;
as ruthless Robber Baron’s extraoridinaire.

If it were up to those fascist fools in the GOP, Labor Day would be replaced with “Management Day”…not only that, workers wouldn’t get the day off, either…let’s juxtapose what the candidates were doing today….President Obama, as he did on Independence Day, was out making appearances and being seen by the people of this country…Mittens? He’s going out on the water doing “debate prep”…yeah, because that water asks such tough questions :( ssmdh

Yes, the disconnect was astounding to witness. Like Ann and Mitt Romney have compassion for the children that will be sleeping in cars tonight and who will go to school hungry tomorrow. As if.
