Bill Maher Tells Republican Crackers To Get Off Of Obama’s Ass
On his HBO show Real Time Bill Maher posed the question to Republicans, “How many Muslims does a black guy have to kill in one weekend before crackers climb down off his ass?”
Here is the video:
Bill Maher opened up with, “Now that it’s become clear that the Republicans, the fiscally conservative strong on defense party are neither fiscally conservative nor strong on defense, they have to tell us what exactly it is they’re good at. It’s not defense. 9/11 happened on your watch, and you retaliated by invading the wrong country, and you lost a 10 year game of hide and seek with Osama Bin Laden, and you’re responsible for running up most of the debt, which more than anything makes us weak.”
Maher continued, “You’re supposed to be the party with the killer instinct, but it was a Democrat who put a bomb in Gadhafi’s bedroom, and bullet in Bin Laden’s eye like Moe Green. Raising the question how many Muslims does a black guy have to kill in one weekend before crackers climb down off his ass? Let’s look at some facts. Now for you Fox News viewers feel free to turn down the sound until the flashing facts light at the bottom of your screen disappears.”
He then rolled out the facts, “When Bill Clinton left office in 2001, the Congressional Budget Office predicted that by the end of the decade we would have paid off the entire debt and had $2 trillion surplus. Instead we have a ten and a half trillion dollar public debt and the different in those two numbers is mostly because Republicans put tax cuts for the rich, free drugs for the elderly, and two wars on the layaway plan, and then bailed on the check, so so much for fiscal responsibility.”
Bill Maher then destroyed the idea that Republicans are strong in national security, “But hey, at least they still had the defense thing right? The public still believed Republicans were tougher when it came to hunting down dark skinned foreigners with funny sounding names. But Bush had 7 years to get Osama, he didn’t. He got Wesley Snipes. Only 6 months after 9/11 Bush said he didn’t spend that much time on Bin Laden that he was no longer concerned about him. Just as he wasn’t before 9/11 when he blew off that mysterious inscrutable memo titled Bin Laden determined to attack inside the United States. In under a year Bush went from who gives a shit, to wanted dead or alive, back to who gives a shit.”
After calling out the Republicans for criticizing Obama for during the 2008 campaign for saying that he would go into Pakistan to get Bin Laden, and asked Republicans, “Why can’t you just admit that Barack Obama is one efficient, steely nerved, multitasking, black ninja gansta president? In one week he produced his birth certificate, comforted disaster victims, swung by Florida to say hey to Gabby Giffords, did stand up at the Correspondents’ Dinner, and then personally repelled into in Bin Laden’s lair and put a Chinese star though his throat without waking up any of his 13 wives. That’s how it went down, I saw it on MSNBC.”
The truth is that the 30% of America that Bill Maher mentioned will never support Obama no matter what he does. Unlike Democrats who did rally behind President Bush after 9/11, many Republicans can only view the Obama presidency with bitter jaundiced eyes that are only capable of seeing all the vast conspiracies that explain why they were not able to keep the presidency, which they believe they are entitled to.
Maher had it right. Obama had an incredible week last week, but within 48 hours the right was back hard at work trying to delegitimize his accomplishments while at the same time taking credit for themselves. What is absolutely eating the Obama haters up inside right now is that he got Bin Laden. Since 9/11 Republicans have treated the issue of national security as their birthright, but Obama showed them what a real commitment to keeping America secure looks like.
Barack Obama is one bad ass gangsta president. He is everything Republicans wish they were, but don’t have the guts to be.

People are always telling me that Bill Maher is not a journalist, to which I always reply, “yeah, ain’t that a cryin’ shame?”
Leave it Bill Maher (and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert) to tell it straight and still get laughs.

So true D.L.. Between Bill, Jon, and Stephen, it’s a damn shame that we get the real news on shows that were intended for “entertainment”. I will take those three guys over CNN and FOX News any day of the week.

Not sure anyone could have said it better. I think he should be Obamas press agent.
He stoned the wannabe cons like the San Jose sharks are stoning my red wings.
At this time I do not believe Boehner and Cantor are interested in anything to do with protecting and supporting the United States

They are going to spin themselves right into the ground. Even the Fox devotees have begun to realize that Fox lies. Hannity ought to be thrown off the air for his hatred of the President leading him to lie nightly. The people who have supported torture this week should be ashamed. That is not who we are. You let Bush take a sane nation and turn us into monsters. Obama has brought us back to almost civilized, and we are not regressing again. The GOP had better figure out who they want to be before they lose everything next year. And that would be a good thing for this country.

“Hannity said, “Alright, less than two weeks removed from the attempted car bombing at Times Square, and guess what? President Obama has decided to slash anti-terror funding for New York City. Now the cuts totaling $53 million dollars will hit both transit and port security. Now, ironically the President is in New York tonight for what else, a Democratic fundraiser. He’s raising money.”
The Truth
Newsday reported, “But DHS countered Thursday that the New York City area will actually see an increase of $47 million in combined transit and port security funding. The stimulus bill passed last year included an additional $300 million for the two programs, and New York City area agencies will be getting about $100 million of that amount.”
The lies just keep coming

Look at the bright side. If the GOP get their way we will cut Medicare and social programs. New Yorkers will starve to death slowly or not recieve heathcare. But if you cut defense spending you could get killed by a shoe bomber and go quick. Pick your poision.

At dear and long last, as some poet said. Now I know why my old colleague from my nuthouse-working days gets the news only from these guys. Yeah, the President should make one of them press secretary.

Well the Republicans did one thing this week, they made it harder for me to make decisions about my own body, especially if I’ve been raped. Funny how they claim to hate the Islamist Facists, yet when it comes to women, they are behaving just like them.

I love how Bill Maher summed up the hypocrisy of the GOP, in addition to pointing out in such biting words that they possess none of the positive attributes they like to claim for themselves. He should also have added that they are far from being the party of morals that they claim to be. During the last 30 years, and especially in 2011, they have revealed themselves as the Party of No Ideas, No Compassion, and No Clue. They keep trying to sell the same discredited ideology under seemingly innocuous new labels, the most recent incarnation being the Tea Party. They have underestimated President Obama repeatedly, only to have him run circles around them repeatedly. Without saying a word in reply to their idiocy, he exposes them through his actions. I love the way he challenges, and even contradicts, the assumptions they have embraced their entire lives about blacks in general and President Obama in particular.

The Moe Green comparison recalled an image I had when I heard about Bin Ladin’s burial at sea: Ghaddafi wakes up to find Osama’s head in his bed…

Thanks to Obama, Osama is giving Ghaddafi nightmares and making him sleep with one eye open at night. Probably the left eye.

Great post Jason. Leave it to Bill to put things and the GOP in their proper perspective. Most of the main stream media simply won’t do it.
While President Obama keeps his promise to America by getting the number one terrorist in the world who was responsible for attacking our country under the watchful eyes of George Bush and Dick Cheney, he continues to walk and chew gum at the same time. With all the President was working on for the US, the GOP was dealing with birther garbage, abortions and working against women’s rights and working on behalf of the oil companies getting more breaks.
Where are the jobs that the GOP promised in the midterms? What happened to that trickle down effect that we’ve been waiting on for the last 10 years? Keep it in the same context as getting Osama. Because it is not their focus or interest, it’s not going to happen. It’s going to take President Obama to get our jobs back. And come the 2012 elections, we have to take the country out of any Republican control. They have been holding this country hostage. The goal and interest is to take down the President of the US. And since our President works on behalf of the people, what does that say about the GOP?

William Harris – 3106548, on Google and Newsvine agree with Bill Mahar 100%. We need more people in Congress and a President more like him. I’m sure he’s rich, but he hasn’t let it go to his head like so many Republicans that make a whole lot less in income than he does. If all the lower middle class or poor Republicans voted Democrat, maybe they and the rest of us Democrats wouldn’t be so poor and have a few more rights than they have now. WSWS.org is a good world wide website that lets people know how bad the corporations are making the large majority of us more poor each year, while they are continuing to get richer each year. This problem is going on in many Countries. Check out WSWS.org and read some of the information I am talking about. As long as people keep voting Blue Dog Democrats and Republicans into office, corporations will get richer and most of us will get poorer.

I’ve always admired Bill Maher’s candor, and I appreciate it as well.
Continue to tell us as it really is.
Also enjoyed the comments of the differnt people.
I think that the Republican’s had better wake-up. How long do think they can continue to urinate in the American’s face and call it rain.
