Tea Party Adoring CNN Calls Romney/Ryan a Ticket Death Wish
@AzureGhost 2012
Candy Crowley explained on CNN why Democrats are uncorking champagne right now. The Paul Ryan pick is going to allow Democrats to clearly define Republicans as the party of austerity for You People, whose only goal is to redistribute the wealth in a reverse RobinHood move to the top 2%. Crowley called the pick “a ticket death wish.”
Video courtesy of NewsBusters:
CANDY CROWLEY: We’ve already had this debate. All they have to do at Obama Reelect is open up the files because this debate has already happened. They just bring it back, it goes, it is, you know, what they talk about. But I think the other thing that’s worth pointing out is not every Republican has signed on to this kind of, I mean, they will publicly. But there is some trepidation —
GLORIA BORGER: They’re afraid.
CROWLEY: — That this might be, looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish. That, oh, my gosh, do we really want to talk about these thing? Is this where we want to go when the economy is so bad? We could have stayed on that.
Speaking the truth is unacceptable on the Right, so naturally Crowley’s “ticket death wish” is trending on right wing blogs, where they are calling Candy Crowley “porky pig” and worse. They also think this means that the “left is terrified.”
On NewsBusters, conservatives are blaming the “Obama-loving media” for the negative reaction to Paul Ryan. This is the natural result of the conservative epistemic closure bubble that causes conservatives to refuse to believe national polls that show Paul Ryan’s budget to be a real stinker.
The media doesn’t “love” Obama. In fact, studies show that Obama gets far more negative press coverage than Romney. When the media dares to speak the truth even once, the Right freaks out instead of facing reality.
Denial is going to be the death knell of the Right. In fact, it already has been. Poor Mitt Romney wouldn’t have had to pick death ticket mate Paul Ryan if conservatives got out from their Fox bubble and started facing reality. But no. They were having none of that. They are much happier believing that Obama is a Marxist Kenyan without a birth certificate who went to Harvard even though he wasn’t really at Stanford, or failed there.
The Ticket Death Wish is an apt description, and much to the Republican Party’s dismay, this ticket is going to solidify what Republicans really stand for. No more seemingly friendly, cowboy hat-wearing George W. Bush disguising what they represent. Now it’s two Randian Greedmeisters standing for the 2% in the middle of an awful economy, brought on by the weaker versions of the very policies they champion.

Let’s hope Candy has noted how quick her conservatard viewers are to call her a “pig.” Gosh, now why would they use a term like that?
Ryan is a “zombie-eyed granny-starver” – have I said that more than ten times in the last five minutes?

Delusional and swimming in denial Gopers act so predictable when faced with reality. The reactions to this news from Crowley are awesome. I just love how these morons stick to their denial as they set themselves up for a devestating defeat. If we can only take a few Senate seats along with taking back the house this November, maybe then we can get this country moving forward again.

Now we might finally get the press to ask Ryan who the insurance companies are who will offer coverage to seniors for the $’s in the voucher….I’m sitting on the edge of my chair waiting for the answer!

Paul Ryan is even more agitated by the press and does not like anything other than carefully pre-screened questions from pre-screened people thrown at him. The routing of Rethugs this election is poetic justice for a country that just wants to get going again.

Ms. Sarah Jones,
You’ve done it again, and again, your straight-to- the-point assessment of what is wrong with republican supporters has gone right to my FB page:
When you land a blow to the Right, they’re left reeling. I want them to be thoroughly demoralized. It’s the only way I can see that might have a chance of rousing them from their delusional stupor.

I’ll have people know that I’ve been saying things like this (the GOP is finished) for quite a while now; no one in the media has had the guts, until now, to admit I was correct BACK THEN…the GOP has been infected with a terminal virus of hypocrisy, extremism, idiocy and ignorance…the death spiral of the GOP began during the debt-ceiling debacle 13 months ago…estimated date of death for the Greedy Old Patricians? 6 November, 2012….Funeral? The next day on YouTube, where I made a bet with my 1600+ FB friends that I’d play a Southern minister (complete with accent) “officiating” the funeral of the GOP… But, before you start wondering whether my Southern accent is more Texas than Georgia, a few things must happen on Election Day; first, of course, President Obama has to be re-elected…that may turn out to be the easiest part of it; next is that the Democrats will need a filibuster-proof supermajority in the US Senate, which will end up being the toughest fight; then, the Demos need to “flip” at least 35 net seats in the US House; after that, all gubernatorial races that are going will have to go to the Democrats; then, wherever they can, Democrats will need to take state houses, assemblies, senates, etc. If the Demos get all of that done, you’ll get to hear my Southern accent LOL

I agree completely that this could be a death wish ticket. I think that as soon as Romney endorsed the Ryan plan, his plan was put into effect. That is pick Paul Ryan to be his vice president. Of course this is just hindsight and looking back at it, but I do not think anyone else was even in the running.
But this ticket does exactly what the Democrats say it will do. Paul Ryan stands for the eradication of any help and assistance to children and seniors will. He stands for the eradication of any help to the middle class and he stands purely for the rich to get richer. And there’s no other way you can look at it seriously.
If the Democrats are halfway smart they will flay this ticket to shreds before November. Paul Ryan needs to be stood up and shown for what he is. I also think that he is the main candidate for president and even if Romney wins he will not get a second term. But Paul Ryan will or would, because by then the ability to Democrats to vote will be crushed like living 10,000 feet undersea
We all need to vote

The best gift possible…Ryan will not be on the House Budget Committee anymore. No matter how the election plays out…he loses his seat…he loses the election…he’s out of govt. Even better…it’s harder to run for reelection when you lost in a high profile way years earlier.

The GOPers actually think that this guy is a towering intellect, and that he bested Obama when they debated health care at Blair House a couple of years ago. But anyone who worships Ayn Rand and believes the Koch Brothers absolutely retrograde fear of ordinary people should be the organizing principle of our government is only a poor dumb cluck.
He’s obviously sucked his way up by courting the wealthy. I’ll bet most people in his own district have no idea what his budget goals are. When people hear his plans in focus groups they are aghast and tell the interviewers they are ‘sick’ for even asking such silly hypothetical questions.
Just remember, folks. The GOP cannot govern its way out of a paper bag.

RMoney and AynR is no ticket death wish, dumb ass liberals!
This is the new Republican world order coming your way. Real Americans know this is a great VP selection, in the same vein as Sarah Palin was a great VP pick for McCain. After all, McCain’s selection of Palin absolutely ensured him his reelection to the Senate! What more could McCain have wanted?
Of course Obama bin Biden will say this is a ticket for the wealthiest of Real Americans, but Real Americans know Obama is a liar and a deceiver. After nearly 4 years and he still won’t release his fake birth certificate to the world!! And after nearly 4 years, he still won’t admit he’s a Muslim and a communist!!
Obama is the most racist president of all time. And he hates women. And he hates gay.
Ok…those last two make him kind of a good guy.
But still.

Corporate spending and contributions from the super wealthy are dwarfing what the President – or Democrats at almost every level of government – are raising. Whatever we think, feel or say in these spaces, the GOP, corporatism and the far right will win in November, if we don’t reach into our own pockets and give – freely – between now and November 4th. if you believe this is a true or worthwhile sentiment, please feel free to copy/paste/share !

I’m not trying to be a party-pooper, but what’s the take on republicans being poised to purge an estimated 5M democratic votes? There’s just not enough noise for voter suppression.

The seed for the Ryan Budget plan was planted in 1934 with the “Business Plot”. The bankers angry at FDR for creating SSI and NOT getting the peoples money to hold attempted to over throw the government. The plan was to destroy not only SSI but all social programs like unemployment insurance, labor laws to protect unions , the SEC and all banking regulation. If the Republicans get the White House. Americans will be crying like the Germans after WWII. “How did we let this happen”.

I’d feel much better if Obama were to get an endorsement from someone viewed as objective and whose integrity is beyond reproach. The loss of backers like Carter, while probably not swaying many votes outright, add to the din of discontent instead of presenting a unified front. (It is sad that they critized him for not doing enough, like they didn’t see and understand all the forces at play. To me, that is the epitome of throwing the baby with the bathwater, but i digress).
I would give just about anything for someone like Colin Powell to come out and say: “this is the way it was.., these are the facts.., this is b.s…, this is the way it should be.., and this is what we will do..,” It really feels like Obama has been abandoned to fend by himself on this one.
I do not remember the specifics, but after the Clinton proceedings, I recall waiting for someone to step up and put things into perspective, to heal the nation. So we could look at each other again, and life could go on. It was a few days, but if memory serves, there was a congressman who came forward as the statesman the country needed, and put everything back on track with an enspired speech. I want a statesman like that for our president. Carter had his chance, but instead, he decided to self promote his human rights work and slam the president for not living up to his expectations (digressing again, sorry).
So, somebody get Colin on the phone, and tell him this is his legacy, this is his time to stand up and be heard, this is his time to put GW behind him and lead the nation by inspiration.
Because it is the right thing to do.
(thanks for listening)
