You are trying to report on an issue but you’re letting your personal views corrupt your credibility by leading you into a baseless accusation (that all boy scouts and supporters of them are straight conservatives) and your ad-hoc attack on those groups by calling them anti-constitution? Both of those are very troubling. I feel at least a small sense of duty to let your readers know that BSA has a strong stance on anti-sexuality in GENERAL. They also feel that being openly homosexual brings a LOT of questions to the table for youth. They take a stance of “don’t ask don’t tell” not because it might make people feel uncomfortable but because talking about your sexuality in general brings a subject they do NOT want associated with them to the table. You don’t want some guy out in the middle of the woods giving the birds and the bees talk to your kids. That’s regardless of sexuality. So why even bring it to the table?
