On his Fox News show today Glenn Beck gave his studio audience a lecture about history by comparing the Obama administration to the Nazis and the bankers, auto industry executives, and AIG to the Jews. He stated that the American people won’t pay attention until the Obama administration comes for them. I think his comparison is insulting to Jews and memories of the Holocaust.

Beck said, “I really truly believe the reason why a lot of Americans aren’t paying attention to this is because they, does anybody remember the poem first they came for the Jews and I didn’t stand up because I wasn’t a Jew, do you know that from Germany? I think this is the problem. First they came for the banks, and I wasn’t a banker. I didn’t really care. I didn’t stand up and say anything, then they came for the AIG executives, and they came for the car companies, and I didn’t say anything, until it gets down to you. Most people don’t see they are coming for you at some point. You are on the list. Everybody is on the list.”
The problems with Beck’s comparison are that Obama didn’t want to intervene in the financial sector and auto industry, and the Nazis didn’t give the Jews billions of dollars and let them live happily ever after. They exterminated them. No one who has gotten a federal bailout has even been charged with a crime, much less killed. Beck is telling people to wake up, because he thinks Obama is a fascist.
I think that America needs to wake up and demand that we get our money back from all of these bailouts. Frankly after all of our money was given to these giants of industry, I want the government to take an active role and protect our investment. These are companies that have already proven that they know how to lose money. The worst thing Uncle Sam could do is to throw billions of dollars at these people and leave them to their own devices.
The Holocaust comparison is not only wildly inaccurate, but also tasteless. I understand that Glenn Beck is in the entertainment business, but with this argument he is trivializing the Holocaust. If Beck said that the American people are the World Trade Center, and the Obama administration is the plane heading for the tower on 9/11, people would be outraged. (Of course, I have probably now given Beck an idea for Monday’s show).
My question is what is Fox News going to when a Republican gets into office, and Beck keeps saying these same things? This is Beck’s gimmick. It doesn’t change based on the occupant of the White House. I think that if Republicans ever win the White House again, Glenn Beck will be out of a job on Fox News.
Because Beck’s distortion reveals not only his lack of historical knowledge, but the complete idiocy of the comparison:
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak out for me.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you a psychotic with a Television show. This faux funny-man is a brillant counterpoint to Rush Limbaugh, where one is the emotionally sensitive, Fox news hypocrite with no knowledge of history or anything constructive to the country, King Rush is the overpaid angry old man who throws tantrums when he doesn’t get his oxycotin fix. Glenn Beck is at least photogenic enough to have his own TV show, which can’t be said for the other guy. Their talking points are childish and meaningless, and mock journalism and the first amendment. Their handlers must be giving orders from underground bunkers or mental wards. None of these people, Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, and all the other throwbacks from their Hitler youth amount to enough of a human being that I wouldn’t cross the street to piss on them if they were on fire. I have been comparing the Obama administration to the rise of Hitler far longer than any of the talk show hosts. Anyone that wants to take the time needs to Google the rise of Adolph Hitler and just look at the condensed version. you will easily see that the Obama administrationis following almost to the letter the Nazi rise to power.

Nearly every story that the Democrats release is carefully planned to divert our attention to the “Next” step in their attempt to usurp our Constitution. No matter how many paid or convinced Liberal Koolaid Drinkers there are out there the truth is becoming more obvious daily. Look at Obama’s real numbers and understand that he only won by a total of 6%, he has lost that advantage by huge numbers that is why he is still in campaign mode. His approval rating has dropped 30 to 40 points since inaugeration day more than whiping out that small percentage. Again that is why the left is in such a panic, they can see the writing on the wall. This Pelosi thing is dropping those numbers even farther.

Obama will not need 8 years for his agenda. With the party of yes on his side he has succeeded in just over 100 days of putting us in debt for the next several generations, and is in the process of removing all morals from the nation. It looks like the homos will have what they are wanting very soon. This is a sad ending for the country we have all loved.
if you don’t see the paralells between the obama agenda and the hitler rise to power then you are most assuredly blind. The comparison to the holocaust is apt, but obama is not going after jewish people this time. He will be going after working people, and instead of killing them he will be stealing their money (life’s work) and giving it to others.
This individual seems to want to trivialize the harm that Obama is doing as he follows the roadmap made by Adolph Hitler himself. Using the Jews as the scapegoats for his tirade against Beck, Easley has done the exact same thing he accuses Beck of doing, using the Jewish community as a pawn in this political disagreement and attempted to divert attention from the true message of Obama’s march to Naziism/Socialism (yes they are one in the same if you bother to compare) and the danger it places each and every one of us in.
