Kerry: Palin is Almost Insulting to Clinton Supporters

ImageJohn Kerry was on ABC’s This Week program where he pointed out that John McCain’s selection of Sarah Palin is more likely to insult Hillary Clinton supporters than it is to attract them.

Kerry was asked if he was worried that the Palin pick would draw Clinton supporters to McCain. “How stupid do they think the Clinton supporters are for heaven sakes? Do they think Clinton supporters only supported Hillary because she is a woman? For heaven sakes, they supported Hillary because of all the things that she has fought for, because she fights for healthcare which John McCain doesn’t support. She fights for children and children’s health care, which John McCain voted against. She fights for a windfall profit tax on the oil companies, which John McCain opposes. I mean for heaven sakes, the people who supported Hillary Clinton are not going to be seduced just because John McCain has picked a woman. They are going to look at what she supports.”

Kerry said that the selection is almost an insult to Clinton supporters, “The fact that she doesn’t support the notion that climate change is manmade. She’s back there with the flat earth caucus. I don’t see how those women are going to be fooled into believing. I think it is almost insulting to the Hillary supporters that they believe that they would support somebody that is against everything that they believe in.”

He said that McCain is a prisoner of the right wing, “John McCain wanted to choose Tom Ridge. He wanted to choose Joe Lieberman. He wanted to choose another candidate, but you know what, Rush Limbaugh and the right wing vetoed it, and John McCain was forced to come back and pick a sort of Cheneyeske social conservative who is going to satisfy the base. What John McCain has proven with this choice is that John McCain is a prisoner of the right wing, and not a maverick.”

It is my own opinion that if McCain was free to make his own choice, it would have been Lieberman or Ridge. It would never have been a little known governor who he has only met twice in his life. This pick was made only to try to peel Clinton supporters away from Obama. The reason why Obama didn’t pick a woman was because by picking a woman other than Clinton, you risk insulting her base, and I think that is exactly what McCain has done.

This choice does help McCain with his base, but the Republican base is not big enough to win the election on its own. This was a pick that was not based on ability to govern, but political calculus. The buzz in the mainstream has already worn off of this story, so I have grave doubts that McCain is going to see a big running mate bounce in the polls. What the pick did certainly do is open up a whole new line of questioning about experience and judgment that didn’t exist before.

Kerry Indignation

It's to bad John Kerry didn't fight the Swifties against him like he is the Governor of Alaska. If he had, we wouldn't have had 4 more years of the Bush mess. I know a few woman who were for Hillary and since Friday they have told me they are voting for Palin because they think the Democrats treated Senator Clinton horribly. Kerry better realize there are thousands of members of PUMA, from 18 to 80 and they are pissed!!!!!!!!!!!
It sure is going to be an exicting couple of months.

I don't think

I really don't think Palin is going to bring too many Hillary supporters to McCain. The ones who are going to go to McCain were probably leaning that way anyway. Most of the Clinton supporters, I have heard from are not happy with this choice. They see it as an insult, like they only supported Hillary due to her gender.

I agree! I supported

I agree! I supported Hillary until the very end. But, I certainly am willing to take my chances with Obama. Allowing the Republicans one more term in office to spite my party is NOT an option. Not with so much that is at stake.

My vote is definitely going to Obama. Not out of fear, but to bring about CHANGE.

Only a few

Only a few women are gullible enough to fall for this McCain ploy by choosing Palin as his running mate...his choice is indeed an'insult' to the vast majority of well informed women.

nonsense

Does anyone know how many houses Teresa Heinz Kerry owns and by the way The swiftboaters told the truth, why do you think kerry never released his records, because the swiftboaters knew what was in them, every one in his chain of command, from the admirals on down said he was unfit and every captain who served with him, they told him to leave. He knows the truth, his peole knows the truth and if the MSM gets up the nerve or the ghost of Edward R. Murrow, we will know the truth about obama and biden. Would someone please tell me what obama has accomplished besides helping indigent developers like tony rezko, being a loyal soldier in the daley machine, he's a fraud with no paper trail, experience, a political hack of the lowest, biden less than 1% of the caucus vote in Iowa, gimme a break, they are going to fix DC, like obama fixed anything in chicago, tha's your brains on drugs, don't be stupid America, I am Black and obama is not a credit to our race, quite the opposite, he's a perpetual liar who don't know where he is most of the time, get real the guy is clueless and has done absolutely nothing to earn our vote except he's a negro, someone in chicago, please tell us what this guy has to offer? kerry, please find the rock you crawled from under, it misses you, GO BACK!! WE ARE TIRED OF YOUR WHINING AND WHIMPERING LIKE A SICK PUPPY, YOU DON'T MATTER! IT'S OVER, THE USA WON, YOU LOST!!!!!

Oh my goodness! Why the

Oh my goodness! Why the anger?! Obama hasn't accomplished anything? Well, isn't that special! Let's look at what accomplishments our current President has. Over 4100 men and women lost to a war for what? Unemployment up. Financial crisis. Let's not forget, McCain believes anyone making $5 mil or less is considered underclass. While McCain gave a lot for his country (I have family members who serve(d) in Iraq), what else makes him better at keeping this country safe from enemies foreign and domestic?

That's what is great about the greatest country in the world, we ALL can have our own opinion.

Proof Positive that the American Education System Needs a Boost!

Jesus, Mike...you know, I'm not upset about the anger and the rant. That's your right. But can you please do something about the total lack of grammatical knowledge? How many comma splices do you have in your writing? I'm stunned you believe the following (as you wrote it) is all one sentence:

Try a period. Or a compound sentence. Maybe a few semi-colons, though given your pension to just toss about commas like candy falling from a pinata, I'm not sure I want you anywhere near a semi-colon.

Apparently, in your mind, not only does Kerry not matter, but neither does a period. Or the English language.

re: Nonsense

It is quite evident that you are one of the few Blacks who will not vote for Obama. You should read his two books and you may come away with a different point of view although based on your blog that seems impossibly. As for him being a perpetual liar you are way off base. What about your McCain and his stretching the truth or out and out lying, sad you can't see the speck in his eyes. McCain is king of the flip flops www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/flipflops or some history on McCains affairs (adultery) www.omgili.com/omgili/John+McCain's+adulterous+life. I point this out because it is McCain and other better than thou Politicians( mostly republicans) who talk about family values, Character, morals and making Good JUDGEMENT and than go out and do just the opposite. Definition of Hypocrite saying one thing and doing just the opposite. Mc Cain is no Maverick but just a follower of the far right panding to that part of the regressive Republican Party

what mccain did was insult

what mccain did was insult all the republicans that supported him.to pick palin and saying she is the best prepared to lead this country,is an insult to life
long republicans.lieberman,todd,huckabee,rommeny.mccain says put country first.if something were to happen to him are we safer with palin?i suppose that means putting country first.

I am not a McCain supporter.

I am not a McCain supporter. But, I agree with you. This choice came off as an insult to ALL women regardless. It is apparent that McCain would NOT have chosen this person had it been entirely up to him. I don't know who his strategists are, but on behalf of all Obama supporters, thank you very much McCain.

Insult?

We, the women of the Democrat's, have been insulted beyond belief. How dare Kerry even address this subject. I am a Hillary Clinton supporter and I WILL vote for McCain/ Palin! I think he made a smashing choice. Kerry, go back to your "choice" made by a few that split the party right down the middle. You will not win in November, unless, of course, the {foreign supporters}OWNERS can figure out a way to take the voting machines home and rig them, which is highly possible because "it is written", Obama must win." SCARES ME!

Please Explain

Joan...and other "PUMAs":

I'm truly seeking an explanation that makes sense here. At least one beyond "Palin is a woman." What exactly about Palin and her positions/beliefs entices Hillary supporters to vote for McCain? The way I see it, Palin is nothing like Hillary save the fact that she, too, happens to be a woman.

How is Palin, who believes in giving absolutely no abortions, even in cases of rape/incest, and when the mom could die, better than Obama? How is Palin, who believes in teaching creationism in schools, anything like Hillary?

Seriously, are you guys voting for Palin just because she's a woman? Or are you voting for Palin because you are still upset that Hillary lost? And I'm really curious why you see Hillary as having been treated with disrespect. She went through a primary process and lost. Voters picked Obama. And insofar as the VP spot goes, that's Obama's choice and his choice alone.

Think of the reverse: how would you all feel if Hillary had won and Obama supporters kept screaming "unfair" and "bloody murder!" What if, they made a big, publicly vocal push to have him placed on the ticket with Hillary? And then, what if Hillary picked, oh, let's just say Biden, and then the Obama supporters, who now call themselves PUMAs because there's no way in hell they're going to reunify the party, threw a public fit? And then beyond that, they vocally and publicly decry Hillary as unfit, and then proclaimed they would vote for McCain? Especially if McCain, in a total political pander, picked Clarance Thomas (an absolute right wing nut job) to be his VP?

I'm really curious how you would all react then. What if Obama supporters said they're voting for McCain because of the horrible way Obama was treated by Hillary supporters and the party? And that somehow, McCain's choice of Clarance Thomas is the highlight of civil rights and understanding?

I would love to hear your response.

I CO-SIGN THIS

i 100 percent agree. i would LOVE to see how the PUMA'S would have reacted in that scenario. i think its a crying SHAME that as much work as hillary did to break the mold, in the end, her supporters are acting EXACTLY like women who have been spurned by a lover for another woman! COMPLETELY vindictive. so what do they do? they go to another man who doesnt care about em'... MCCAIN!
i know its a sort of weird analogy, but dammit, the shoe fits!

i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, IF obama lost to hillary, there would have been absolutely NO back lash like this, because in all honesty, blacks didnt expect obama to get this far. so even if hillary won and he lost, blacks would have accepted/expected it. plus hillary wouldnt have been a bad choice {at least i dont think so} so it would have been a win-win for black/democratic.

to all you PUMA's , all the fighting hillary did in the end, to have her votes counted... it was all posturing for her run in another 4 years. she wants to show people that she isnt a quitter and one who throws in the towel. i cant fault her for that at all.

HOWEVER, if you love hillary so much then PLEASE LISTEN to what she said on the historic thursday night at the DNC. her words were clear for any of you PUMA's who want to listen..
" DID YOU VOTE FOR ME?!?! OR WHAT I STAND FOR?!?!?!?"

there is a difference PUMA's. a huge difference that affects a WORLD of change.

stop being emotional WOMEN and be STRONG WOMEN. thats whats need for the future, dammit.

IM RON AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE. :) :)

I agree with you all the

I agree with you all the way. It seems ridiculous and even childish to say, "Because you didn't pick Hillary as the Democratic candidate for President, I'm voting Republican"... What!? Huh!? How will this help the party much less the country?

Once again, the Democratic Party is on the verge of giving Republicans another term in office. So, there!

Insult?

I disagree, Joan. I too am a Democratic woman and I was disappointed when Hilary Clinton did not get the Demo nomination. Obama did and he chose the running mate he felt would best compliment and serve his administration. I applaud the fact that he did not chose Clinton just to chose a token woman as McCain has-which is a total insult! I use my brain to make choices about who I support-not my genetic chromosomes. To think I would vote for McCain because he has put Palin a heart beat away from being president of this country is insane. She is anti-choice, she supports drilling in the protected reserves of Alaska, and I could go on and on listing issues where she and Clinton aren't even on the same page-so why on earth would Clinton supporters vote for a McCain-Palin ticket. Not to mention the fact that McCain has shown poor judgement chosing a woman who's experience is the PTA, mayor of a town of less than 6000 and 20 months as govenor of Alaska. I lived in Alaska-we hardly even saw ourselves as part of the USA. A member of her own legislator said, "she never showed any interest in foreign policy before, and certainly has no experience." Ask yourself-"is this the person you would vote for for president." If the answer is no then I sure wouldn't vote her into the next chair....and certainly not based on one and only one factor-she has a vagina!

So...because you feel

So...because you feel insulted by the Dems for not picking Clinton, you're going to vote for a woman who is against abortion? Is that some kind of new feminism I haven't heard of?

So we should just vote based on gender, regardless of the negative impact on women's rights?

You are an idiot.

Please try and refrain about

Please try and refrain about fraud in elections. We all know what is has done to this country the last eight years. I pray that Obama does win. Eight is indeed enough! Anymore, and it may not be just our economy that will be weakened.

if obama scares you than you

if obama scares you than you must be in hiding for the past 8 years with bush in charge.think about the country, you already made a mistake by voting for bush for 8 years.while you are in hiding check how much you have in your wallet

Obviously you were only

Obviously you were only voting for Hillary because she is female.

wake up

stop following obama like little sheep and ask yourself what has he accomplished? lol that didnt take too long...oh i forgot he voted present about 138 times..hey mr obama we have a problem with Russia what r you going to do? oh u have a staples easy button well you can push that 138 times and it wont help! want to see how an obama presidency works, take a look at cuba..castro promised everyone would be equal, take from the rich and give to the poor, free health care, free housing, well that worked out fine didnt it...you tax the businesses and they pass it on to the consumer, tax the rich and they stop working as hard.. then you have your socialist country..thats an obama presidency..wake up your morons and read obama nation..or this link http://www.eyeblast.tv/Public/Video.aspx?rsrcID=2036 at least know what your voting for...

Cuba?

McCain's Man... have you even been to Cuba? I have cousins who live in Canada and they took a two week trip to Cuba. They stayed in some touristy parts for about three days, then took to the road throughout Cuba. Guess what? Cuba looks fantastic. In fact, they barely saw anything that looks like Detroit, Flint, Youngstown (OH), Canton, Pensacola...

Where exactly are you getting your "info" on Cuba, Dick Cheney's ass?

i guess u would rather

i guess u would rather follow Bush.u have good judgement also, just like Mccain.this country is in trouble.it can't get worse because we are on to the lies of Bush and Chaney.small minds are afraid of change and never grow.Obama has the vision, the courage
and the judgement to lead this nation.for all those who think that Mccain would do better, than u don't have a fallen relative in a war that Obama had the judgement not to engage in.just for the record 4,150 DEAD over 30,000 injured. i hope those of u who think Mccain in the man don't have someone in those numbers.wake up

cuba

philhu...If Cuba is so friggin great why have thousands risked their lives on innertubes to leave for USA?

EVERYONE wants to come to

EVERYONE wants to come to the USA! It is in fact the greatest country in the world. But, let's not be foolish! Anyone comparing an Obama presidency to Cuba is either clueless in true political history or just trying to goad people into a knee-jerk response with emotion instead of clarity to the real topic.

McCain is no more suited to run this country than Bush has been (even with Cheney behind the scenes). Let us let the electoral process take it's course (good thing a president can only rig I mean serve 8 years) and see what happens.

Love It Or Leave It?

Ranman,

Am I supposed to know the inner workings of Cuban geopolitical and economical policies and desires? How the hell do I know why people leave Cuba on inner tubes? California and New York are some pretty awesome states and yet, every year, thousands of families move out of there. Why is that? People move. People always want to find something new, maybe something they consider better.

Lots of Americans are opting to move to Canada and Europe recently. Have you been reading articles about NBA basketball players leaving for Europe? Does that mean America is now officially a shit hole?

People do lots of things for lots of reasons. Some people just never get over a difference in political ideology. I know people belonging to the Nationalist Party who fled China back in 1949. That's 50 years ago! And they still talk about China with a freakin' sneer on their lips. Does that mean China, who by the way owns like 35% of the US's debt, is a big toilet?

Do a little more thinking, Ranman, before you get on here. Really, your "love it or leave it" BS may have worked for the last seven years, but I think that's plenty of wasted time on such blind ignorance.

Kerry

Kerry, no one cares about your opinion. You are a loser, you and Jimmy Carter need to crawl in your hole and stay.

Kerry, MIGHT be a loser, but

Kerry, MIGHT be a loser, but Jimmy Carter!!!!Perhaps one of the greatest people to represent this country as a human being! With the way the economy is going most of us MAY have to start looking for "holes" to live in, but Jimmy Carter might just be shy of a saint! It's not his fault that in order to be President you have to be willing to LIE about somethings.

Palin insult

As a Hillary voter i am certainly insulted that McCain would think i would vote for him because he picked Palin...Palin is no Hillary, is not now and never will be and no true Hillary backer would ever vote for her...We are mad because she wasn't picked for vice president but I would rather write in Hillary then ever vote for McCain...Hillary said it best no way, no how....Hillary women will say no, no, no. to Palin...the end

isn"t competence the issue?

although a obama supporter in this election, i am a lifelong democrat and a bill clinton fan. if hilary had won the nomination ,i would have strongly supported her. but the reason i would have supported her was her obvious competence and qualifications to be president and not merely because she was a woman.clearly palin is not qualified by anyones definition to be president or vice president.mccain is a hypocrite by first saying that qualifications to be president was the most important factor in choosing a running mate and then choosing palin for blatently political reasons thereby putting his interests first and the interests of the country second. women should be insulted by mccains obvious belief that women are brainless bimbo"s and that if women cant have hilary running this country, they will be just as happy with sarah palin.lets hope that the women in this country put the country first and vote for competence

Mccain does think woman are

Mccain does think woman are Bimbos. He is pro life, and wants to overturn Rove/Wade.

I'm with you!!!!!

I'm with you!!!!!

To all my sisters who wanted Hilliary to get the nomination:

I love Hilliary Clinton and voted for her during the primary. I was extremely disappointed that she did not win the nomination although she came extremely close to winning. We should not be angry that she did not get nominated for VP. She did not want to be VP anyway. I am sure that she will be running for President in our future and I will vote for her then. BUT... to all my sisters who say that they will be voting for McCain because they cannot vote for Hilliary... what is wrong with your convoluted thinking?!?!!
McSame is even worse than Bush!!! and Palin, what a loser!!!
Did you even listen to her speech? What a crock! What is it about her that would make anyone vote for McCain? Nothing, nothing, nothing!!!
I would have been more worried about the election if he had chosen Joe Lieberman as his VP but Palin? He was losing anyway and now he has shown how desperate he is to pick her just because she is a woman. I don't want a woman in the white house just because of that. I want a woman in the white house who is qualified to run and who has similar views to me on important life questions like health care, economics, etc.
McCain thinks that there are not 50 million Americans without health insurance because we can all go to the emergency room if we are sick. I'm sure that all of the emergency room employees hope that all 50 million of us without health insurance come to the emergency room when we get sick. It's crowded enough in the emergency room without the 50 million of us who don't have health insurance. How out of touch with reality do you have to be when you can say something as stupid as that with a straight face. Oh, yeah... I forgot, he had a smirk on his face after he made that inane statement. Was that supposed to be a joke? Whatever, I just don't get it or him or the Republican party politics at all.

Reply to All My Sisters

To all my sisters, I say write in Hillary's vote or vote for McCain. It is more important for a woman to be President than a Black man. Especially since the African-American community is so sexist and chauvinistic. I prayed and desired a Democratic woman to be the first female President, but I will write in Hillary's vote or vote McCain, because I do vote on gender. What if the roles had been reversed and Hillary would not allow the Florida and Michigan votes to count? Then suddenly when she has secured the nomination, she lets them count. What if Hillary would have refused a roll call vote to Obama on the floor of the convention? What if Hillary only had two years experience in the U.S. Senate? What if the media had called Obama names like they did Hillary? Women, we must stand together as women and vote the female ticket. By listening to men like John Kerry you can see they just don't get it or they don't care. They hate women and would do anything to keep a woman from the Presidency. A poll was taken and it is proven that the gender of the candidate means more to the voter than the race. Men voted for Obama because he was a man. Even though he is so inexperienced and doesn't know what he is doing. Don't insult women, John Kerry, with your dribble. We vote because of the gender because no one gives a woman a free ride like Obama. John Kerry is a chauvinistic idiot.

YOU HAVE ISSUES SISTA

SERIOUSLY.
FIRST OFF , YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THE RULES THAT CLINTON WORKED SO HARD TO HAVE OVERTURNED WERE THE ONES SHE PUT IN PLACE IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY WERE DEMOCRATIC RULES, THERE LONG BEFORE OBAMA STARTED RUNNING. HOWEVER, YEARS AGO, SHE OK'ED THEM.
NOW WHEN THEY WENT AGAINST HER PLAN, SHE WANTED THEM TO COUNT. IT WAS A BLATANT, FOUL. THE RULES ARE RULES. THE ONLY REASON BARACK LET THOSE VOTES COUNT WAS BECAUSE HE IS ABOVE PETTY SHIT.
WHICH IT WAS.

SECONDLY, I THINK YOU NEED TO READ MY POST ABOVE ABOUT WOMEN VOTING FOR MCCAIN BECAUSE HILLARY DIDNT WIN.

YOURE OBVIOUSLY NOT IN THE STRONG WOMAN CATEGORY. DO US ALL A FAVOR. SIMPLY DONT VOTE. THATS YOUR RIGHT TOO, YOU KNOW THAT? DONT VOTE FOR NO ONE YOU DONT WANT, BECAUSE IF YOU DO, AND THE PERSON FUCKS UP THE COUNTRY, THEN NOT ONLY CANT YOU COMPLAIN ABOUT IT, YOU WILL BE ONE OF THE DUMB ASSES WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE.

REAL SIMPLE.

PEACE

IM RON AND I APPROVE THIS MESSAGE :) :)

The Unspoken Reason

True Hillary supporters should definitely vote for the McCain/Palin ticket. First, because Obama is unqualified and Biden is a political hack who completely undercuts the call for change. Second, because if the Hillary supporters ever want to see their favorite again, Obama better lose the election. If that happens, it will be good for the country and even better for the Clinton camp, which can then look forward to a real "I told you so" run in 2012.

Reply to the reply to all my sisters

You sound like you do not like African Americans and also had some problems with men. e.i., divorced or single etc.

It is unbelieveable that you would vote for McCain when He and Palin stands for everything Hillary is against. If you are truly a Democratic and was for Hillary, I think the statements you made are insulting to her. This election is not about gender but the issues. Hillary was fighting for Health care, tax cuts for the oil companies, equal pay for women, etc. By voting for McCain and Palin you are voting against everything Hillary stood for. I think you are so full of hate that you cannot see the importance of this election. If you listened to her speech at the convention, I hope you will reconsider and vote for Barack Obama as she urged her supporters to do because we must get a Democrat in office this year. This is a matter of urgency.

Umm, yeah! No! I am a

Umm, yeah! No! I am a lifelong democrat who was supporting Hil until she lost to Obama. I am now supporting Obama. As a woman and an African-American woman, I find your comments insulting but I suspect after reading your tangent, you could care less. Which is fine. Anyone NOT wanting another 4 years of this mess that the Bush/Cheney Administration has created, please choose your candidate wisely...AMERICA (all of us women, men, all races) can't afford it.

SISTERS

John McCain was forced to come back and pick a sort of Cheneyesque social conservative who is going to satisfy the base. What John McCain has proven with this choice is that John McCain is a prisoner of the right wing, and not a maverick.” Obama has been called names has false reports made on him, he didn't start the sexist remarks about Senator Clinton.I would be willing to bet that if Obama wins, Hillary would be nominated for Supreme Court

Kerry is in a panic

It is amusing to see an empty suit like Kerry reacting when he sees his power evaporating. The Dems are going to lose house, Senate, and white house, and Kerry sees the handwriting on the wall. This is just the beginning, as they implode all of them will react voilently. Get ready for a demonstration on democrats true colors!

Do people think women in

Do people think women in general are so shallow they voted for hillary only because she was a women? I can't see one republican women voteing for her after they voted for Bush Chaney twice.Only women that are antiabortion and flatearthers would vote for Palin on the issues.Think about gridlock and if McCain wins nothing will get done for 4 years. He won't suddenly support a democratic house and senate.A vote for McCain is a vote to continue the path of no progress on any important issue we face. Republicans want things the way they are or they would have changed them when they controlled everything.

i think john kerry must wake

i think john kerry must wake up to a new world every day. i think he is way past due for a reality check. most women i've spoke with say no way no how to hillary. i think that john mccain made a very good choice in a women who has different ideas outside the usual washington crap we've gone through since 1993 and the start of the clinton administration.

I laugh every time I hear a

I laugh every time I hear a white MALE Democrat like Kerry, who was NOT a Clinton supporter even though his state of Massachusetts voted for her, declare what's in the mind of us Hillary supporters! What gall! This is the party of women's rights, when Obama and the DNC put pro-life Senator Bob Casey as keynote speaker on the night celebrating the anniversary of women's suffrage? This is the party of women's rights, when the male Democrats made it sound like they were doing Hillary a favor to "allow" her to speak at the Convention when almost half of the delegates there were hers? This is the party of women's rights when the candidate who had won the popular vote in the primaries wasn't even seriously vetted as Obama's veep? Kerry and Obama and Kennedy and Dean and Edwards (oops, that's right, he's outta sight right now, because he's the guy for women's rights who cheated on his wife and had to drop out and threw his delegates to Obama instead of letting them pick for themselves). Women are diverse and so are "women's issues." The main "woman's issue" I currently care about is being equal and out front instead of being silenced and told to work for the men who supposedly will take care of us, NOT!! Gov. Sarah Palin, if you bother to actually read about her from a reputable source, is smart, strong, and a dynamite choice. John McCain, thanks for "pandering" to women! Please, "pander" away! LOL.

Oh my gosh! If it wasn't so

Oh my gosh! If it wasn't so serious it would almost be laughable! I have never understood when my children would say, "If you don't let me have this, I'm gonna hold my breath!" Anyone not wanting 4 more years of Bush/Cheney will NOT elect McCain. Make no mistake, it will be McCain who is elected (if for some reason the democrats give this election away too) and those who "suggested" Palin in the first place. Ha, ha, strong, smart, like that's what we've had the last 8 years... Funny isn't it? No, not so much.

How shallow must we be to be

How shallow must we be to be fooled again by a republican.Of all the people capable to run this country to think Palin is the best choice,is an insult to Americans .If it was that easy to pick a vp after meeting her 2x why have a campaign.Maybe that's why we are in this mess. How much attention did we pay to our jobs being shipped overseas?
Do we really care about the 4100 dead and 30,000 injured? We were sold a bill of goods, weapons of mass destruction? Now we have Mccain selling us on Palin. When do we wake up and say ENOUGH.Think about your future and your kids. It's time to look at Mccain as a phony who only cares about winning and not the country.

McCain was made to take

McCain was made to take her.She doesn't believe in equality of pay , choice, and she IS A "LIAR".Sex is the best feeling on earth and a lot of fun. Maybe his wife said it was OK,being she is sick. Its very hard for a man not to fall, the other woman knew he was married why didn't she say no?

What is going on here?

What woman in her right mind would decide to vote for Palin because she is a woman? I am a woman and I would rather vote for the person who is capable and has a chance of winning and getting us out of this 8 years of economic hell. We are spending over 10 BILLION dollars a month in Irag, the country who did not attack us on 9/11. Our freedom and the bill of rights has suffered long enough under a man who states as a joke that he doesn't mind a dictatorship as long as he is the dictator. And now just because Hilliary is not the candidate you think it is okay to vote for a team of McCain and Palin. Why do you want to go back in history and elect a team who will definitely try to overturn Roe vs Wade? A woman who has absolutely NO experience and who thinks we should teach creationism in school. Most of the people in her own state do not think she is capable of being VP let alone President of the US, they don't even like her or her policies. Why would McSame choose her over the other more qualified women in government, a woman he had only met twice at the most. McSame is pandering to women but what else do you expect from a 72 year old "maverick" (What does that mean? How can a man who has been in congress for 26 years be a maverick?). If you choose to align yourself with him after all of this then you need to be prepared to reap what you sow and all of the rest of us will weep what you sow.

Emotions vs Logic (or what's wrong with this picture?)

In my own personal opinion, I think that too many people here and across America are being blinded by their own emotions and the emotions of others, rather doing any logical thinking on their own at all.

Logically what difference does it really make if our next President of the United States has a skin color of white, black, red, yellow or any other color, especially when we know that we were all created in the same manner which God had intended for us to be created.

Logically, what difference does it make if our next President is male or female, the only two sexes that God created. The same goes for the Running Mates, what difference does it make as to their sex?

Logically thinking our next President of the United States should be qualified and able even though both Candidates have their own personal flaws that should be taken into consideration.

Logically thinking, the Running Mate of each Presidential Candidate should also be equally qualified, knowing that he or she is only a "heart beat away" of being President.

Isn't this type of logical thinking better than the emotional thinking that we are seeing too much of? Get off of the "band wagon" of "emotional thinkers" and understand that we now have a choice between really only two possible and probable Presidential Candidates to choose from. To do a "write-in" at this point, is strictly an emotional vote that won't count in anyone else's mind but that individual voter's mind that cast such a vote!

NO WAY! NO HOW! NO McCAIN!

You can call a bugger-bear a suggar-daddy, it still won't make him jump high! AMERICA we had better get our heads in this election and quick...We cannot afford to let anyone choose our candidate for us but ourselves; not the media with their "convenient polls", not the political talk shows, not celebrities, and certainly not anyone who has been a part of what has been happening the last eight years.

Whoever you vote for, please use your head when comparing all candidates. Base it on something that truly matters. We know electing another white male who is out of touch with the realities of the average American did not work. So, please use your heads this time around. Whoever you vote for, just VOTE!

Future

What the voters should consider before voting for the republicans is the mess this country is in.It is important to realize who is running the country right now.Big corps. It is in Big corp interest to have the republicans win.Walmart the biggest instigator has told their employees not to vote Democratic. Our jobs are being shipped overseas so that Big corp can make bigger profits,so their Ceo's can get millions in compensation. We don't see the benefits, but we do feel the hardships. The republicans have allowed this and don't feel this is a problem.Mccain and Bush say things are ok.Yes for them, not us.Until we vote the republicans out of office we will not be able start fixing our problem.Obama sees this,he and Biden and the great people they will put around them will turn this mess around so we can get back to a standard of living we are used to.
