    It is, also, being reported that he is only paying $961,000 for the entire half hour. Considering the regular advertising rate for a 30 SECOND spot during CBS prime time is just over $200,000…that’s quite a deal from CBS.

    Does CBS have to register this charity as an “In Kind” campaign contribution…They should.

    Yes, it should have to be reported as a contribution. They are contributing the equivalent of cash to his campaign.

    I think buying time is an excellent idea so that we can get the full version of what his plans are. This will help people much more than the fast debates do.

    I’m a strong Obama supporter, but it would be nice if the networks would just DONATE the time to them, both McCain and Obama. I would make for stronger democracy. But, perhaps that is what the conventions are for.

    I wonder how much Fox is charging. If all 4 networks will carry it for under a million each you would think John McCain would have enough for something similar. Unless hes just that broke.
