Palin's selection is the best gift the Republicans could have given the Democrats. She is as ignorant as they come. This is the biggest strategic error the Republicans could have made, and her selection raises serious concerns about McCain's credibility. Someone of his experience and maturity was expected to make a better choice.

Well, this comment doesn't really warrant an answer but for fun, I'll bite. I notice the conspicuous absence of reference to Hillary's 6 years in the Senate. Now what has Palin done?

First of all, I'm pretty sure the Bill of Rights confers on us the right to free speech....or is your party trying to ban it for purposes of the election? Hey, I'm just saying if the people can't even question their own VP candidate of the Republicans, whats the difference between that and a Chinese infomercial? Hilary has nothing to do with this WACKJOB being picked for VP....it shows pretty stupid judgement on behalf of a man who might have had some credibility until he got into bed with W. A few years ago, some of us still remember the hit Bush put on him in the Republican primary. And now, he runs the same filthy type of campaign, thinking most of us are too ignorant to care what his issues are, other than to debase his opponent.

First of all, for our own benefit, it's coat tails. Not co-tails. Second, and more importantly Hillary has been a strong part of US Politics for the last two decades. When she ran for NYS senate, I was skeptical since she wasn't a native. What did she care about NY? Consistently, however, during her campaign she made great efforts to make decisions based on what our voters believe and what she felt would do us the most good. I was very impressed. Also, unlike the current first lady, Hillary Clinton was very involved in the policies and decisions of her husband and his administration. She got involved in every way. Sadly, I fear neither of the prospective first ladies will be able to follow this precedent. At least Mrs. Obama has the legal and political training to do so if she chooses.

And what's all this socialist talk? You seriously all believe that the oil companies and financial companies that are being fostered by the bush administration even as they gain more control over the American public should not be tempered? Now, while socialism is not even a goal of most liberals in our country, absolute capitalism would be just as catastrophic. Back in the days of child labor, unequal rights for women and minorities, and no labor laws or unions the American people were largely under the control of rich and powerful corporations. As more rich and powerful corporations develop, it is the job of the American Government to keep the power in the hands of the people by loosening the grasp of companies like American Oil and Wall Street Financial companies on the lives of everyday citizens like yourself. It's not socialism by any stretch of the imagination. It's just not absolute capitalism, because that fails. Not quite as quickly as absolute communism, but every major society of the past has declined when the middle class collapsed; which is what will happen if we continue to give power to the powerful. That's a great idea! I wish it was possible for you to live the experience of the poor. So, let's make you a person of color, be denied access to employment and housing and education for a couple of generations, have to live in that rat-infested home watching your children grow up there before a hurricane blows it down, wait for buses that never show up to be moved to safety and fear for your family's life, be housed in a filthy stadium without facilities and food and water, and then get to live in a health-compromising mobile home while you wait (and are still waiting) for your "Democrat-provided" new luxury home. Palin fever sweeping the nation? I don't think so. That was a week or so ago. She is just a curiosity now. Intelligent people are seeing her for who she really is (despite the McCain campaign keeping her from the press and from speaking without a script). More people are questioning John McCain's judgement on his selection every day. And that is not all they are wondering about regarding McCain's leadership ability.

Meaningless poll tilted toward democrats? Well, if that is true then the GOP can relax and let McCain do some campaign stops by himself and tell the truth about how many supporters were actually there. And McCain Palin supporters can stop using faulty logic, emotional terror and downright lies to support your candidate and smear Obama.

If the polls got it wrong again as usual as you said then they couldn't possibly have been right about McCain poll numbers either, now can they?
