Obama Talks To America, and McCain Talks to Joe the Plumber

If you are wondering to yourself, who is Joe the Plumber and why does John McCain seem obsessed with him, join the club. Both candidates had a good debate performance, the difference is that Obama talked about the economy for the middle class while McCain talked about a guy who wants to buy a business.
The one thing we learned about John McCain tonight is that he can’t think on his feet. Twice during the debate, McCain raised a question that Obama had just answered. The first time was when Obama mentioned that offshore drilling was not an answer because America only has 3%-4% of the world’s oil, but we use 25% of the world’s oil. McCain then made the case for America being able to provide its own supply of oil with offshore drilling.
The second situation occurred when McCain said that Obama’s health care plan would mean that Joe the Plumber could not afford health care for his employees, but if Joe didn’t provide health care the Obama plan would fine him. Obama explained that small businesses are exempt from the fine, and said that the fine would be nothing for Joe the Plumber. McCain seemed surprised that there would be no fine. It seems that he doesn’t know the details of Obama’s health plan.
McCain had a better night then in the previous two debates, but he still spent too much time talking about tax cuts, and not enough time talking about people who are hurting. He mentioned them, but he didn’t really say how he would help them. McCain took the bait on Ayers and ACORN and gave Obama a platform to give a full explanation. McCain still seemed scattered and did not offer a coherent plan for the future. I don’t think that McCain did enough to change the momentum of this race.
The debate was entertaining and a bit nasty, but McCain still did not look as presidential as Obama. I think Barack Obama had a slight edge tonight. McCain tried to land some lines, but he could not make anything stick. McCain made the big mistake of the night while talking about the abortion question. Neither candidate blew the other one out, but even if you viewed this debate as a tie, the tie benefits Obama. I don’t think that McCain was able to score the big blow or reinvent himself tonight. I think this race stays about where it has been.

McCain's Memorable Line
I think when John said 'I'm not George Bush. If you wanted to run against Bush, you should have done it four years ago.' Something to that effect.
The only thing Obama has
The only thing Obama has going for him, is the ability to public speak... A vote for him is a vote for Marxism.
Wow, go craw back in your hole.
I love you nuts, for much like McCain you have nothing to say. Obama set forth a compehensive plan for healthcare, the economy, and education, McCain said nothing. Obama said that Joe Biden would make a great president, McCain on Palin well she a reformer, what does that have to do with being able to take over the reigns if nessary. Marxism no and intellentgent, good meaning, man who will turn this country around and bring real change, yes. A vote for McCain in a vote for the same. OBAMA CHANGE IS COMING.
Just say you won't vote for
Just say you won't vote for Obama. Be honest with us and yourself. Thinking that way is going to leave you on a bridge to nowhere!!!!
it seems that mccain doesn't know
a lot of the details of obama's plans. hint to mccain: a lot of the details are on obama's website. i also liked the plan where mccain would allow veterans to teach without having to be qualified by such minor things as competency tests. as a mother, i always wanted my sons to have a teacher that could feasibly suffer from post traumatic stress syndrome. don't get me wrong, i love and support our veterans, but excuse me?? mccain looked as if he could lose his temper at any given moment. i don't know about some, but i want someone rational and level headed to lead our country, not someone who is known for his temper(and appears to have a difficult time keeping it under wraps without muttering bulls**t* under their breath).
mccain frightens me in that 1. he doesn't really know (or stay with) the issues,
2. we all know that politicians lie, but COME ON!! some of the things i've heard from the republican campaign & tonight were just outright lies. (see factcheck.org),
3. his mannerisms and senate record are right there with the current administration (check his record).
to anonymous: with all due respect(?) i would also remain anonymous had i typed the ludicrous statement that you did. hint: think & research before you speak. it might give an inkling of credibility to your statement.

McNasty
I think John McCain has some good ideas. I donʻt agree with his 5k healthcare tax credit. That still wont buy healthcare for people that canʻt afford it in the first place. And inviting people into The Congressional Health Care Plan (whatever that is) is not socialism. John McCain has been receiving Government Health care his entire life. I wish I could get in on THAT.
But the thing that turns me off most about him is the way he speaks. The snide and nasty undertone. He seems to me to be an arrogant and mean guy. I think he is an angry , angry , angry man. And if he is elected it will be more about payback for the people who kicked him in the past, NOT the good of the USA.
and this morning I am hearing Joe Plumber is not really a plumber, is not really planning to buy a business, and is related to Charles Keating who bought McCain in the 90ʻs to obstruct a congressional hearing??????????? WTF
